AICOK GS-106 Masticating Juicer, silver

Aicok GS-106 is currently unavailable, but it might still be on eBay as a preloved item. Another option would be checking out this best juicer machine list, for an even better alternative.

AICOOK is a subsidiary of AICOK. I’ll use these brand names interchangeably in this review.

Gone are the days when you need to invest hundreds of dollars on a decent masticating juicer. The most affordable Omega slow juicer can get you three AICOK GS-106s. And, if you’re a Hurom fan, their cheapest machine is worth five AICOOK GS-106s.

It is a massive advantage to consumers, but it’s going to hurt the bottom line of established juicer brands.

Anyway, let’s jump straight right into its features.

In my opinion, the AICOK GS-106 Masticating Juicer is not a well-thought product design wise. As a minimalist, the motor base’s rectangular profile doesn’t sit well with its entirety. However, I can’t complain about this peculiarity since it’s as cheap as you can get for a slow juice maker.

Let’s disregard that fact for a second, and we’ll still get a functional juicer that can take on fibrous vegetables, soft fruits, and leafy greens.

If you’re used to Omega’s multitude of non-juicing application, you won’t get it with the AICOK brand, at least not with this model. It doesn’t even come with a blank cone which will allow you to puree soft fruits and make non-dairy milk alternative out of soaked nuts and beans.

Pros

  • Affordable
  • Parts that come in contact with your produce are BPA free
  • Can juice almost all types of fruits and vegetables
  • Slow juicers tend to retain most of the nutrients in your juice
  • 72-hour juice shelf life
  • Unique auger design, the top end is made of stainless steel
  • Quiet and convenient
  • Dishwasher safe parts

Cons

  • Slow juice extraction time is a trade-off of most cold press juicers
  • Narrow chute clearance means you need to spend some time on preparing your fruits and vegetables
  • Short warranty coverage compared to most slow juicers in the market—2 years
  • It doesn’t come with extra functions like popular masticating juicers
  • Not ideal for juicing soft mushy fruits like papaya, mango, berries, etc.
  • It’s also not designed to make nut-based milk
  • The brand is a new player in the kitchen equipment industry which has a lot of catching up to do in terms of building a name for itself

AICOK GS-106 Features

Is it easy to use?

You need to assemble a total of 6 parts to get AICOK GS-106 ready to work. There are no sharp components, and most of them are just small pieces. However, since it comes with a narrow chute, you’ll have to cut your fruits and vegetables into manageable chunks. Your prep time requires the most effort, but it’s not that big of a deal.

Is it easy to clean?

All the detachable parts of the AICOOK GS-106 juicer are dishwasher friendly. You don’t need to spend a lot of time taking care of this machine. Add the fact that none of its parts are as large as centrifugal juicer’s, and you’ll get a piece of machine that is not just easy to use but is also easy to maintain.

Juice Quality

Cold press juicers are efficient at juice extraction and at the same time retains most of the nutrients for an extended amount of time. The slow masticating action minimizes oxidation, thus preventing your juice from spoiling fast.

You can store your cold-pressed juice for up to three days. Rest assured, you’ll have the best tasting and nutrition-filled goodness every time you need it.

What kinds of produce can AICOK GS-106 juice?

This juice press can process fibrous vegetables, citrus fruits, and leafy greens.

You can easily juice ginger, watermelon, cilantro, pepper, apple, beets, cauliflower, asparagus, bitter gourd, pumpkin, yakon, broccoli, fennel, pear, carrots, garlic, sweet potato, celery, turmeric, pineapple and cucumber with this slow juice extractor.

All horizontal masticating juicers can take on basil, parsley, lettuce, beet greens, moringa, brussels sprout, collard greens, dandelion greens, kale, spinach, peppermint, cabbage, wheatgrass, pine tree needles, and spring onion.

Last but not least, this machine can help you make your favorite citrus juice out of oranges, grapefruit, mandarin, limes, lemons, and tangerine.

Unlike most of the masticating juicers that I’ve reviewed, this juicing machine doesn’t have a blank cone. You need this accessory for making a puree out of soft fruits and as well as for making nut-based milk.

I’m giving AICOOK GS-106 Masticating Juicer a go for newbies who would like to try out green juices. It’s one of the cheapest masticating juicers that you can experiment with and try juicing out.
