AICOK GS-332 is currently unavailable at Amazon, but it might still be available on eBay as a preloved item. Or you can head over to this page for the best centrifugal juicers that are still in stock.
AICOOK is a subsidiary of AICOK. I’ll use these brand names interchangeably in this review.
AICOK GS-332 Extra Wide Mouth 1000 Watt Centrifugal Juicer is the proper successor to the AICOOK GS-336. If you’ve read my previous review, in the end, I wasn’t able to recommend that product because of too many lapses — the lack of safety locking mechanism being the most significant factor.
Awards: #6 Best Centrifugal Juicer, Affordable centrifugal juicer
I’m delighted that the AICOOK GS-332 now comes with a standard safety feature.
Some notable improvements also include a more powerful motor, a wider feeding chute (2.9 inches), and the detachable parts are now dishwasher safe.
However, it wasn’t able to address its very high RPM. Multi-speed centrifugal juicers typically work on soft fruits at 6,000 to 8,000 RPM. In AICOK-G332’s case, the low-speed setting ranges from 12,000 to 14,000 RPM. It’s too fast to efficiently extract juice from soft fruits, let alone make a puree out of it.
As long as you’ll stick on juicing hard produce and citruses, you won’t have any issues with this machine.
Pros
- Budget-friendly
- Safer to operate—it now comes with a locking mechanism that prevents the motor from running unless all the parts are lined up correctly.
- 2.9 inches feeding chute—it can accommodate smaller apples which mean larger portions of produce will do just fine. That equates to less prep time.
- Stainless steel mesh filter-blade assembly
- High capacity pulp container (2L)
- 1.1L juice jug
- Centrifugal juicers are fast, and this particular machine can make you a glass of fresh juice in just 4 seconds.
- Dishwasher safe parts
- BPA Free
- 2-year warranty
Cons
- You can only run AICOK GS-332 continuously for a minute then you need to cool it down for 2 minutes.
- Following this procedure will prevent overheating.
- 24-hour juice shelf life
- Smaller feeding chute in comparison to other popular centrifugal juicers
- Limited to juicing hard produce and citrus fruits
- A relatively new company, with a reputation to build
AICOK GS-332 Features
Is it easy to use?
Since the safety issue has been addressed, you can operate this machine without worrying about getting injured. It now works like any other centrifugal in the market, which is very easy to use. With fewer parts to assemble and wash, taking care of this baby won’t be a huge burden.
I like to point out, however, that the chute of AICOK GS-332 is a tad smaller than other popular centrifugal juicing machines. A small apple would fit in a 2.9-inch feeding chute, but you’ll have to cut up larger ones. It goes the same way for other fruits and vegetables. You need to allocate some extra time slicing your produce into manageable sizes.
Is it easy to clean?
This kitchen equipment is dishwasher safe. If you hate washing your juicer by hand, then this feature comes as an added benefit. The toughest part to clean with all centrifugal juicers is the filter basket. Residue can accumulate and harden if you don’t wash it right away — good thing you have a cleaning brush at your disposal to deal with this particular part.
As a general rule, wash your machine right away as soon as you’re done juicing.
Juice Quality
Unless we’ll put a centrifugal juicer in a vacuum, there’s nothing much we can do to improve the quality of the juice it produces. High-speed juicers like the AICOOK GS-332 tend to incorporate a lot of oxygen into the juice because of its high RPM.
Oxygen breaks down the nutrients, minerals, and vitamins in your juice in a process called oxidation. The classic example of this chemical reaction is when you peel an apple. If you leave it exposed to air, it turns brown, or in other words, it spoils.
I’m not saying that centrifugal juicers are terrible. In fact, there’s a workaround to take advantage of your juice’s nutritional value. Drink your juice as soon as it comes out of the juicer, or at least within 5 minutes.
Centrifugal juice makers don’t retain the nutrients in your juice for long. That’s why juice extracted by this type of machine only last for a day.
What kinds of produce can AICOK GS-332 juice?
Because of its extremely high RPM, this fast juicer is only suitable for basic juice recipes. You are only limited to juicing hard produce and citrus fruits.
Hard fruits and vegetables like cilantro, turmeric, celery, sweet potato, pear, pumpkin, bitter gourd, watermelon, cucumber, cauliflower, carrots, garlic, pineapple, apple, broccoli, ginger, asparagus, fennel, pepper, yakon, and beets will work well with this machine.
You can also juice citrus fruits like tangerine, lime, lemon, mandarin, orange, and grapefruit with the AICOOK GS-332.
Don’t waste your leafy greens and soft fruits on this high-speed juicer.
