Update: For some reason the brand stopped selling this AICOK juicer at Amazon but I found an identical product under a different company. It’s 100% the same but I couldn’t verify if it offers the same warranty coverage.
With that said, I would recommend checking out a few similar budget-friendly products like the Ninja Juicer or any of these affordable juice extractors and see if this AICOK product is really for you.
Let’s proceed with the review proper of the AICOK masticating juicer.
AICOK AMR-521 is at the top of the kitchen equipment company’s horizontal slow juice extractor line-up. All I have is praise for this masterpiece. It broke the barrier to entry for having a quality masticating juicer—price.
From 2013 to 2015, when the juicing trend was at its peak, a decent slow juicer will cost you around $300 to $500. That’s a significant investment for most.
The AICOK Slow Juicer is 35% cheaper than the most affordable Omega horizontal masticating juice extractor, and you can literally buy four of this AMR Series juicer if we’re talking about Hurom’s top-end product.
Budget friendliness is by far AICOK AMR-521’s biggest asset, but it doesn’t stop there. Its feature set also rivals the big players in the juicer industry. It’s a capable and dependable juice maker that can process dense produce, leafy greens, and citrus fruits.
It’s great for simple juice recipes and as well as green juices. If you want to be more specific, it’s an excellent celery and wheatgrass juicer.
- Reasonably priced
- Can juice dense fruits and vegetables, citruses, and leafy greens
- Perfect for juicing celery and wheatgrass
- Slow juicers retain more nutrients (in a much longer time) than high-speed juicing machines
- 72-hour juice shelf life
- Low noise level
- Dishwasher safe parts
- Detachable components are made of BPA free material
- The auger or the worm as they put it is made of PMMA (acrylic), it’s safer than ULTEM plastic typical in popular slow juice presses
- The reverse button can be your lifeline when you loaded your juicing chamber with more than it can take.
- Juicing time will take minutes instead of seconds in comparison to high-speed juice extractors
- Prep time is generally longer with slow juicers, you need to cut your fruits and vegetable into small pieces
- For its price, 3-year warranty is quite reasonable, but it can’t compete with Omega’s 15-year guarantee or Hurom’s 10-year promise
- You won’t find any other food processing function on this machine, it’s just built for juicing. In short, you won’t be able to puree soft fruits with this baby. It’s also not built for making soy or almond milk.
- AICOK is a relatively new player in the juicer market, but a promising one
AICOK Masticating Juicer Features
Is the AICOK Juicer easy to use?
Operating the AICOK Slow Juicer is a piece of cake. You only need to assemble a total of six parts plus the motor base to get it going. If you have a prior experience using a slow juice maker, you can operate this machine blindfolded. I’m exaggerating on that part, but it’s as user-friendly as it can get.
Among the AICOK’s line of horizontal masticating juicers, this one and the AICOOK AMR-519 got the reverse button. It will come in handy at times when its chamber gets overloaded. Go slow on your fruits and veggies, give it some slack to crunch all those food before putting in more.
Is the AICOK Juicer easy to clean?
One massive advantage of AICOK Slow Masticating Juicer is its dishwasher compatibility. You don’t need to clean it the hard way. Once you’re done juicing, just put the detachable parts into the top rack of your dishwashing machine.
The strainer is probably the most challenging part to wash, as pulp and residue may accumulate on its tiny holes. On the bright side, it’s too small; and I guess it will only take 5 seconds to clean with the help of the complimentary brush.

Don’t take my word for it, watch this product video of Zona:
Cold-pressed juice remains tasty and nutritious for 3 days, thanks to minimal oxidation. The slow RPM of masticating juicers like the AICOK AMR-521 limits the juice’s oxygen exposure. If we’ll compare it to high-speed juice extractors, it’s 80 RPMs vs. 3,000 to 18,000 RPMs. Let’s just take the average, and that will still make centrifugal juicing machines 12,500% faster.
There are several factors affecting juice’s shelf life, but oxygen plays the most significant role. Light, temperature, the freshness of your produce, the way you clean your fruits and veggies, the plastic material used in your juicer, and your storage method diminish the nutrients in your juice over time.
The best part about this machine is it uses an acrylic auger which is a non-BPA material. It’s a safer alternative to ULTEM plastic commonly found in the gears of popular slow juice extractors. Yes ULTEM contains BPA.
What kinds of produce can the Aicok Slow Masticating Juicer Process?
Like other AICOK AMR models, this juice press can process almost all types of produce—dense fruits and vegetables, citruses, and leafy greens.
This juicing machine can help you make popular juice recipes out of these solid foods—celery, cauliflower, fennel, apple, cucumber, sweet potato, carrots, turmeric, cilantro, pumpkin, yakon, broccoli, pepper, bitter gourd, pineapple, watermelon, ginger, asparagus, garlic, beets, and pear.
It can also make green juices from lettuce, basil, collard greens, spring onion, moringa, cabbage, beet greens, peppermint, kale, wheatgrass, dandelion greens, parsley, pine tree needles, spinach, and brussels sprout. Don’t forget to pick your base from the top list to enhance the flavor of your juice.
A fresh glass of orange juice, lemon juice, lime juice, grapefruit juice, and other citrusy drink is just one button away when you have AICOOK AMR-521 on your side.
If you’re used to an Omega juicer or maybe a Hurom one, you might be looking for additional food processing functions—homogenizer, pasta extruder, coffee grinder, etc. Unfortunately, this AICOK juicer doesn’t have that feature. It’s solely a juicing machine.
It is impossible to puree soft fruits and make nut-based milk using this juice extractor.
