Almond banana milkshake is my go-to recipe every time I make almond butter. Just like all smoothie or milkshake recipes, it’s so simple to make.
Oh, just so you know, this recipe is not made with almond milk, rather with almond butter.
Although, using almond milk might actually be a good idea, I should do that next time.
In any case, let’s blend it!
How to make the Almond Banana Milkshake?
Start by pouring the milk into the blender. Then, add the rest of the ingredients—banana, almond butter, ice cream (optional), and ice.
Secure the lid, and blend for 1 minute at max speed.
If you have a Vitamix Blender, this process will take less than a minute with an incredibly smooth consistency.
Tips and Tricks
The almond banana milkshake is such a great recipe after making almond butter. It’s especially true for the cleanup (or the scraping process). Taking all the nut butter out even with the use of an under-blade scraper can be cumbersome.
Plus, if you were to leave it be and just wash it, it’d be a waste.
Hence, why don’t you just make it into a smoothie or milkshake? With Vitamix’s power, it can remove and blend any persistent residue under the blades (to some extent).
By doing so, cleanup will be so much easier, and more importantly, less waste!
You can create your own version, obviously. Perhaps adding other types of fruit? Speaking of which, I also have a cantaloupe almond milkshake recipe if that interests you.
Vanilla ice cream is optional because of the sugar content. The best alternative for the ice cream is 1 tsp vanilla extract, or you can skip it altogether. Don’t worry; the almond banana milkshake will still be sweet, thanks to the natural sweetness of bananas.
Also, if you’re going to use frozen bananas, you can skip the ice.
