The Bamix Immersion Blender is not as popular in the United States as in the United Kingdom. Truthfully, with its high-caliber build quality, it should be.

Here’s the deal:

Bamix is the original maker of hand blenders based in Switzerland. They’ve been handmaking immersion blenders for 60 years. So, at this point, they already mastered the art of making long-lasting, robust, efficient hand-held food processors.

The Bamix Gastro Pro-2 is just one of many proofs of the brand’s excellence.

To put it in perspective:

They offer a lifetime motor guarantee, which implies just how confident they are about their product. Of all the blenders I’ve reviewed (60+), this is the only one that provides such a warranty.

Here are some of Bamix’s top-notch hand blenders:

Bamix Blender Features

How does the Bamix Immersion Blender perform?

The Bamix Immersion Blender has a 200-watt motor with 2-speeds. The low-speed can reach up to 10,000 RPM, and the high-speed can reach a whopping 15,000 RPM.

Here’s the deal:

200-watt may not be as powerful as Vitamix immersion blender’s 625-watt, nor Braun Multiquick 9’s 700-watt. Still, it’s just as efficient, maybe even more efficient. This blending proficiency is possible thanks to the blade guards’ cage design and the well-engineered blades.

As a matter of fact, of all the hand blenders I’ve evaluated, its open head blade guard is one of a kind. Essentially, this allows the blender to have a vortex action that efficiently pulls down ingredients.

Furthermore, this design introduces an anti-suction feature, the best one at that.

As if that’s not enough:

It also highlights heat-resistant nylon and brass build, meaning it can blend even on hot surfaces. Its motor, additionally, will not overheat as quickly as most competitors. Therefore, you can use this machine several times a day with no problem at all.

And the good news?

These superior features are exclusive to Bamix. Of course, that’s not all. Let’s talk about its premium blades.

Bamix Blade Attachments

Bamix Immersion Blender comes with 3 unique blades that boost its capability.

Blade Attachments

The first one is the aerating blade (A blade). Just like a whisk attachment, you can use it for egg whites and creams—additionally, for soups, sauces, and shakes.

Secondly, there’s the blending blade or B blade. It’s perfect for drinks, salad dressings, and of course, mayonnaise. Thanks to its design, it emulsifies a lot better than regular hand blenders.

Last but not least, the C blade or chopping blade. The contender’s counterpart for this is the mini chopper. Better yet, it works better with all these—raw or cooked vegetables, frozen fruit, baby food, sorbet, jam, and even ice.

The best part?

You can easily store these attachments as opposed to having whisk or chopper accessories.

Fun fact:

The chopping blades aren’t “knife” sharp. It may seem counterintuitive, but hear me out.

Anything sharp becomes dull over years of use. However, with a “somewhat” blunt blade, this won’t be a problem. Once combined with Bamix’s powerful motor, the C blade will have enough torque to pulverize ingredients.

With all that said, Bamix Immersion Blender is indeed one of the most versatile kitchen appliances.

See the Bamix Blender in action:

The Bamix Immersion Blender is the most high-quality hand blender in the market. It has a 200-watt motor and 2-speed levels. More than that, it includes three interchangeable blades that can achieve more recipes than ever before. Bamix is also the only one with a cage blade guard design, making it the most efficient.

Is Bamix Blender easy to use?

Operating the Bamix Immersion Blender is pretty straightforward. For starters, it consists of only two buttons, and it has an ergonomic design.

how to attach blades

Thankfully, the buttons are positioned in which your hands will be in a natural position. Consequently, you can quickly change speeds without having to adjust your grip.

Here’s the kicker:

Switching blades is surprisingly a cakewalk.

Warning: Before attaching or removing a blade or cleaning the blender, always disconnect from the power supply.

Anyhow, the blade has a mini concave pattern and a drive pin on the blending shaft stub. Refer to the image.

  • Align the recess and pin first.
  • Then, push the blade to the shaft.
  • To remove, plainly pull the blade from the stub.

Pretty simple, don’t you think? No twisting, no buttons, nor special instructions.

Here’s the catch:

It’s not dishwasher safe as you cannot remove the shaft. Even then, it’s still easy to clean.

To do so, remove the blade attachment and wash it separately. You can even clean the shaft by hand. Also, use a brush if deemed necessary.

Besides, there’s a better and faster way:

  • In a jug, add a cup (or two) of soapy hot water.
  • Then, blend for 15-30 seconds.
  • Next, rinse with running water.
  • Lastly, remove the blade.

Here’s more:

It comes with a wall mount, so storing the Bamix Blender is pretty straightforward.

Pro tip: Lubricate your Bamix monthly with vegetable oil to keep it running smoothly. Add 2-3 drops of oil to the drive shaft. Then, run it for about 30 seconds. Finally, clean it with hot water.
