Looks similar to a Homemade Oreo Blizzard

The Ninja CREAMi makes a super smooth vanilla ice cream and I really enjoy the endless possibilities of mix-in flavors that can be added to this base recipe. The Ninja CREAMi recipe makes one pint-sized jar of ice cream and it is easy to add mix-ins by creating a 1 ½-inch wide hole that reaches the bottom of the pint.

For my cookies and cream recipe, I added ¼ cup of crushed Oreos to my vanilla ice cream once it had been mixed. Then, I simply selected the “Mix-in” button and the Ninja CREAMi did all the work for me, blending the Oreos into my ice cream to create a well-distributed cookie to the cream. After a few short minutes, I had Cookies and Cream ice cream!

Pro Tip

Go ahead and purchase multiple pints to create several containers of vanilla ice cream at once. This is great for having that base flavor and then using mix-ins to add layers of cookies and candy to your recipe!

Make Your Vanilla Ice Cream First

To get started with the vanilla ice cream, I used ingredients that I keep in my pantry and refrigerator such as cream cheese, sugar, heavy cream, and whole milk.

The only ingredient I added was the seeds found inside a real vanilla bean pod in addition to the vanilla extract. I love the little specs of vanilla bean in my ice cream and the depth of flavor it adds to the recipe. Vanilla beans can be purchased online or even found in your local grocery store next to the spices. It is not necessary but it does add a punch of flavor to your vanilla ice cream recipe!

Add Oreos

After making my vanilla ice cream, I added the ¼ cup of crushed Oreos as my mix-in addition to the recipe.

To do this, I took a large spoon and hollowed out an area in the middle of my pint of ice cream. Then I added my crushed Oreos to the hole I created. After that, I reprocessed the pint using the Mix In setting on the CREAMi and… viola! My own, homemade Oreo Blizzard!

Since the recipe made a pint-sized jar of ice cream, I decided to share it with my family….even though I wanted to keep it all to myself! This is a quick, crunchy, and delicious recipe you’ll be creating whenever you have a stash of Oreos around the house! And if you decide not to share, I won’t tell!!

Cheers,

Christen
