Cucumber Mint Green Smoothie

The cucumber mint green smoothie is as simple as it gets. Not to mention it’s refreshing, so it’s perfect for the hot summer days.

Moreover, I based this on Vitamix’s fantastic cucumber lime smoothie and a hint of mint smoothie—which turned out well.

In any case, let’s blend it!

How to make a cucumber mint smoothie?

To begin, prep any fresh ingredients. Wash the cucumber and roughly chop it. As for the kale, wash it as well and remove the stem part of the leaf.

Now that it’s done, we can start adding the ingredients.

Place the ingredients in order—milk, water, yogurt, kale, mint, banana, cucumber, and pineapple. Don’t add the chia seeds yet! By the way, if you’re going to use frozen ingredients, place them last.

Blend for 45 seconds up to 1 minute at max speed. To achieve a smooth consistency, particularly with kale in the recipe? You need a powerful blender such as Vitamix A3500. That being said, cheap blenders can still yield decent (yet chewy) results.

Now:

While blending, remove the cap (not the lid), and add the chia seeds. If you were to add them before blending, chances are the chia seeds will scatter and stick on the sides and remain unblended.

Finally, serve and enjoy!

Tips and Substitutions

As per routine, you can use any type of milk on hand, almond milk, soy milk, cashew milk, etc. Moreover, you can also utilize other types of superfoods for the cucumber mint smoothie.

For the greens, you can also skip it if you don’t like kale. Or, other alternatives can be spinach or lettuce.

Here’s more:

You can make it into a chilly drink by adding ice to the cucumber mint green smoothie. Or, use frozen ingredients. In my case, I used frozen cucumber and pineapple because ice alone can dilute the flavor.

Oh, I just thought of this, but you can also garnish your drink with small peppermint leaves to make it more camera-ready.
