- The Vitamix 750 Pro Series blender is a legacy product that is still available

Table of Contents
The Vitamix 750 is both a professional and home blender. It features a powerful 2.2 peak HP motor that can heat soup to 165.2°F (74°C) with just friction. The Vitamix Pro 750 highlights 5 automatic blend settings, including a self-clean option. Despite its age, or maybe because of it, its minimal buttons make it one of the easiest blenders to use.

- Five pre-programmed settings

- 64 oz (1.89 L) low-profile, BPA-free container

- No high-tech features
- Not dishwasher safe
Vitamix 750 Professional Series Blender is a fantastic choice among the brand’s legacy series products. It has a more efficient low-profile container, five convenient pre-programmed settings, and pulse control.
One thing I like about Vitamix blenders is their ease of use. Just turn the dial and let your blender do the job. It has a preset for smoothies, hot soups, pureeing, frozen desserts, and self-cleaning. But that’s it, so it’s easy to learn how to use.
FYI: The Vitamix Pro 750 is still available new as a legacy product, there are newer Vitamix blenders with more features. The Vitamix 750 is comparable to the Vitamix A3500 minus the touch controls and digital timer.
While some like smart kitchen equipment, some love it the old-fashioned way. From top to bottom, the Vitamix Professional 750 is a classic product, yet its performance is still above and beyond that of many modern blenders.
Warning
Do not to confuse the Vitamix 750 Professional Series with the Vitamix Propel 750. They are very similar blenders, but the accessories aren’t interchangeable and have different features.
Vitamix Pro 750 Heritage Blender Features
Even though this isn’t a high-tech blender, it does have some great features that make it worth the price. Here are the best features of the Vitamix 750 Professional Blender, used by restaurants and baristas throughout the country.
Low Profile with a Small Footprint
This Vitamix blender has a low profile and a small footprint for easy storage. The base is 8.5 x 7.5 inches and 8.5 inches tall without the pitcher. The low-profile 64-ounce pitcher does add another 10 inches to the height, so it might not fit under the cabinets on your counter when assembled. Still, these features, combined with the 6-foot-long cord, make it easy to keep this blender plugged in and ready.
2.2 Horsepower Motor for Friction Heating
The most significant advantage of the Vitamix 750 Professional Series blender is that you can make hot soups with this blender. The blender will bring room-temperature ingredients to a piping hot 170 degrees in 6 to 8 minutes. More on this in the next section.
Vented Lightweight 64-Ounce Low-Profile Blending Container
The 64-ounce low-profile blending container that comes with your Vitamix 750 is vented to allow for use with heated ingredients. You can heat ingredients through friction with the blender or blend ingredients that are already hot. Unlike other cooking blenders, the Vitamix 750 blending container is not overly heavy – it weighs just 2 pounds.
It is important to remember that the blender should only be used with ingredients of no more than 170 degrees.
Tamper
The Vitamix Pro 750 comes with a unique tamper best used with the blender rather than a rubber spatula. The tamper is designed to never hit the blades and can be used while the blender is in operation. This is of great help when blending thick blends or dense ingredients.
Safety Features
There are two important safety features to mention because they affect whether or not the appliance will operate.
The first safety feature is Automatic Overload Protection. This keeps you from overheating the machine. The blender will shut off if it becomes overheated or runs too long. This is important because the Vitamix 750 doesn’t have a timer.
The other safety feature is that the blender will not operate if the pitcher is not attached to the base correctly. A small circle with a diagonal line lets you know that the pitcher is missing or not properly in place. If your blender won’t work, check for this small safety light and ensure the pitcher is fully attached.

What can you make with Vitamix 750?
Equipped with a 2.2 HP motor, the Vitamix G Series 750 can handle almost anything. It can be used as a blender, a food processor, a whole juice extractor, or even a grinder, depending on the accessories you have for the blender.
Add in the 5 programmed presets and the 10-speed settings with pulse control, and you have versatile kitchen equipment.
It’s not only limited to just making smoothies. Here are a few things that it can do:
*This will work best with the Dry Grains attachment.
But wait, it doesn’t end there. When you get to the accessories section of this review, you’ll have five more uses for your blender apart from the list above.
Salad Dressings and More
You can make salad dressings with the air disc container, which allows you to emulsify, whip cream, or foam skim milk. The air disc container is essential if you want to make salad dressings with oil and vinegar, blending them perfectly together. You do want to use that dressing right away, however. If you store it in the fridge, it may separate, but you can reblend.
Fresh Flour and Basic Batters
You can make flour, grind coffee beans, and make dough for cookies or quick bread with the dry grains container. Homemade flour from the Vitamix 750 can be stored on the counter for a few weeks or in the fridge for up to 2 months, and it takes only seconds to make.
QVC says you can even grind meat in your Vitamix 750 blender. But I’ve not tried this.
Hot Soups
Making hot soups is a breeze in the Vitamix 750 Professional Series Blender. The blender is designed to puree soups while they heat through friction. It only takes about 6 to 8 minutes to make a hot, delicious, pureed soup.
Not everyone likes pureed soups. If you’d like chunks of potato in your soup or vegetables in your stew, wait until the puree is ready. Add your chunked vegetables and pulse a couple of times to blend.
Whole Blend Juice
You can even make juice in the Vitamix 750 blender. You’ll have all of the pulp since there isn’t a pulp filter, but that also means you’ll get all the nutrients. Peel your fruit before blending to reduce pulp and graininess.
It is an excellent idea to chunk down the produce before blending. The juice lasts only about 24 hours because the blender causes oxidation, similar to a centrifugal juicer.
The best thing about Vitamix is the smooth texture that it creates. You can blend leafy greens like spinach with no strings or pieces, even from the stems.
Nut Butters
You can make healthy nut butter in the Vitamix 750 Professional Series blender. I love making fresh nut butter and hummus in this blender! You’ll have the creamiest peanut butter in 60 seconds with no added preservatives. Just remember to keep it in the fridge; it will last up to 2 weeks.
Is Vitamix 750 easy to use?
The Vitamix 750 Blender is one of the easiest to use. With just a few switches to work with, it is a very straightforward product. There’s virtually no learning curve involved.
As an added convenience, it comes with five presets: smoothie, frozen desserts, hot soups, pureeing, and self-cleaning.
Preset Programs
The presets make it super easy to make most of the things you’ll want to create in your Vitamix Blender. Each preset program has its own speed settings and internal timer.
- Smoothies blend at level 3 for 10 seconds, slowly increase to level 8 over the following 5 seconds, stay at 8 for another 5 seconds, then increases to 10 for 25 seconds, for a total of 45 seconds of blending.
- The frozen program runs at level 3 for 10 seconds, 6 for 5 seconds, 7 for 5 seconds, and 10 for 35 seconds, for a total of 55 seconds of blending.
- Hot Soups run at level 3 for 15 seconds, increase to speed 10 over the following 5 seconds, then runs at level 10 for 300 seconds for a total of about 6 minutes.
- The puree program runs at level 3 for 5 seconds, increases to 10 over the following 5 seconds, then blends at level 10 for 45 seconds for a total of 60 seconds.
Order of Ingredients
The Automatic Overload Protection can save your blender if you overload it, but it is best to avoid this entirely. The best way to do that is to follow the Vitamix recommended order of ingredients.
- Liquids first
- Soft ingredients like tofu
- Soft fruits and vegetables
- Firm fruits and vegetables
- Frozen ingredients like berries
- Ice
- Dry ingredients, like protein powder
You should also avoid overfilling the containers when using dense ingredients, making dough and batter, or blending heavy smoothies.
Ease of Cleaning
This product isn’t dishwasher safe, but the self-cleaning button compensated for it. All you have to do is fill the container halfway with warm water, add a few drops of dishwashing soap, and dial the self-cleaning button.
The self-cleaning program starts at level 2 for 10 seconds, increases to speed 10 for 45 seconds, then decreases back to 2 for 5 seconds for a completely clean blender in 60 seconds.
Please give it a quick rinse, and you are ready for the next batch of recipes.
Technology
If you are looking for a blender with high-tech features, you won’t get it from the Vitamix Pro 750 Heritage Blender. The five pre-programmed settings are all it has to offer.
If you want a “smart” Vitamix blender, check the Ascent Series of blenders.
Vitamix Pro 750 Accessories
Suppose you want to take advantage of Vitamix Professional Series 750’s full capabilities. In that case, you should pair it with any of these BPA-free accessories.
Need a frother? Vitamix has an attachment for that. A grain mill? Vitamix has it as well. Need a personal cup? Guess what? There’s an accessory for that.
Note that the 20-ounce individual blender container and the smoothie bowl container do not have a vented design and cannot be used for hot soup blends. Only put hot ingredients or heat soups in the Vitamix 750 with containers that have vented lids.
Low Profile 64 oz (1.89 L) Container – Included
Model # 060904
Low profile containers are more efficient than traditional jars because of their broader base. It allows the ingredients to rotate freely without clumping together at the center. This 64-ounce (1.89 L) container is a great all-around jar that can make up to 10 servings of smoothies.
48 oz (1.4 L) Stainless Steel Container
Model # 067891
This 48-ounce (1.4 L) Stainless Steel Container is an excellent companion for your Vitamix Pro 750. If you’re looking for a non-plastic jar, this should be on your shopping list. It’s 100% BPA-free, stain-resistant, and doesn’t react with acidic ingredients.
Classic 64 oz (1.89 L)Container
Model # 15856
If you prefer the look and feel of your good old blender, this 64 oz (1.89 L) classic jar offers the same vibe. It perfectly complements the vintage design of Vitamix 750, but I have to warn you, newer low-profile containers are much more efficient.
Aer Disc Container
Model # 065421
If you want to experiment with your Vitamix Professional 750, you might want to try the Aer Disc Container. It’s a patent-pending accessory from the brand that will give your blender four more functions—muddle drinks, emulsify, whip cream, or foam milk.
32 oz (946 mL) Container
Model # 15842
For a household that isn’t that big, this 32-ounce (946 mL) container is a good choice. It’s perfect for making 2-3 servings of smoothies, frozen desserts, or hot soup. Or it can also be a great secondary container if you’re using your blender for a lot of recipes.
32 oz (946 mL) Dry Grains Container
Model # 56090
The blade of this container is specifically designed for grinding whole grains. It’s slightly angled higher for a more consistent result. You can also prepare your dough with it.
Personal Cup Adapter
Model # 61724
Do you need a personal cup? How about this 20-ounce (591 mL) Personal Cup Adapter? With the Vitamix single-serve attachment, you won’t have to wash your large container. Pretty convenient, right? And, yes, it’s dishwasher safe.
Is Vitamix 750 worth it?
Vitamix Pro 750 Heritage Blender stood the test of time. It can go head-to-head with the more sophisticated competition. Though it doesn’t come with all the Ascent Series’s smart features, it can get the job done. Period.
