Hamilton Beach Blenders are one of the most affordable blending machines in the market that comes with lengthy warranty coverage. It’s not typical for a cheap product to have a 3-year guarantee.
That’s one of its ultimate selling points.
I’m not a fan of its design, though. The funnel-like glass jar and the drip spout on top of the lid look a bit awkward. The good news is there are plenty of Hamilton Beach Smoothie Blenders to choose from.
Here are four of them:

And there are still more if you’ll check the entire catalog. Those are the best of the best.
As you can see, these Hamilton Blenders aren’t high-performance products. However, it’s good enough for making smoothies, protein shakes and performing basic food processing tasks. It’s an excellent entry-level blender.
In the next section, we’re going to explore all of its advantages and disadvantages.

Hamilton Beach Smoothie Blender Features
What can you make with Hamilton Beach Blender?
Despite its 700-watt motor, the Hamilton Blender is a capable machine. It’s excellent at crushing ice and making smoothies, as the name implies.
Apart from making your favorite green drink, or perhaps protein shake, here are a few more things that it can help you with.
That is a long list of possible applications for a 700-watt blender. It’s definitely in the same league as the Cuisinart Blender. In comparison, newer personal blenders like the NutriBullet Pro have a more powerful motor.
What I’m saying is, the Hamilton Beach Smoothie Maker is not ideal for tough jobs like processing thick blends or nut butters.
Here’s a full list of what it can’t do.
Hot Soups—You can blend hot items with the Hamilton Blender, but you need a separate pot to heat your ingredients. If you need a medium-sized blending machine that can heat puree on its own, try the Nutribullet Rx.
Make Flour—It’s not powerful enough to create a fine flour for baking. That is something that only high-power countertop blenders can offer. Vitamix Blenders are quite capable of doing just that.
Thick Blends—For recipes such as sorbet or smoothie bowl, the motor will likely stall. It’s not recommended for recipes with a thick consistency. Except for Vitamix blenders, the Ninja Smoothie Blender is also a good option for processing thick blends.
Nut Butters—Last but not least, the Hamilton Beach Blender is also not ideal for making peanut butter.

Hamilton Beach Blenders are affordable entry-level blending machines that come with unbeatable 3-year warranty coverage. The Hamilton Beach Smoothie Blender, in particular, features a 700-watt motor capable of crushing ice. It’s equipped with an automatic program for making smoothies with a generous 40 oz (1.2 L) glass pitcher.
Is Hamilton Beach Smoothie Blender easy to use?
The Hamilton Beach Blender has a single automatic blending function—Auto Smoothie. It’s a 45-second cycle that will turn your ingredients into a perfectly blended smoothie. Coincidentally, this is the sole reason why it’s called a “Smart” Smoothie Maker.
It’s not that smart after all, IMHO. However, it’s still a good option considering its rock-bottom price.
Moving on, let’s get to the remaining buttons. You also have the stop, puree, pulse, and clean. These options aren’t automatic. You need to hold them down until you’re done, except for the stop button, which complements the automatic smoothie cycle.
The pulse button also doubles as a crush ice function. On the other hand, the puree button is like the manual mode of the Auto-Smoothie preset. And for obvious reasons, there’s also the clean button.
One gripe that I have about this machine is that the blade assembly is not fixed. It adds an extra hassle in terms of operation and cleanup. But, thankfully, it’s dishwasher friendly.
Overall, it’s a 3/5 usability-wise.
