We could all use a boost to our immune system from time to time. I have discovered a refreshing juice recipe that ups my immune system and is delicious. My children love it too!

The PURE Juicer Immunity Blast is a simple combination of 5 ingredients; all bringing different nutrients to the table. Total time to make the juice should not take you any longer than 10 minutes. A small list of ingredients and a quick prep time, makes this juice recipe perfect for busy families!

Pineapple is a low-fat fruit that is rich in Vitamin C and Vitamin B6. One medium pineapple contains over 430 mg of Vitamin C and 50% of your daily value of Vitamin B6.


Oranges are chock full of Vitamin C, Folate, and Thiamine.  All three nutrients are essential to boosting your immune system. There is a reason that most immunity boosting recipes contain oranges. According to Medical News Today, oranges are also known to Help control blood pressure, manage diabetes, and improve hearth health.


Lemons are not only full of refreshing flavor, but they are also high in Vitamin C and Potassium. Lemons add a savory kick to any recipe while providing up to 80mg of Potassium. Potassium helps to boost several immune controlling functions.  The mineral is also known for its anti-microbial properties.


Blueberries may be small, but they are full of antioxidants. Antioxidants are needed to reduce the number of free radicals in the body. Free radicals harm cells by damaging the cellular structures.  Vitamin A and Manganese are also found in high levels in blueberries.


Ginger is one of my favorite flavors. Adding ginger to many recipes allows me to add refreshing flavor with a tasty kick! Like blueberries, ginger is full of free radical fighting antioxidants. Add as little or as much ginger to the PURE Juicer Immunity Blast as you would like!

Vitamin C

Vitamin C is one of the most beneficial vitamins when it comes to boosting immunity. Vitamin C aids in combatting infection, microbial killing, and increases oxidant generation. You don’t have to be a scientist to understand that oranges are extremely beneficial to boosting your immune system.  I also love the oranges are readily available and relatively inexpensive. 

Vitamin B6

Vitamin B6 aids in the production of interleukins, which boost the number of antibodies in your system. Antibodies help to fight certain diseases and infections. Vitamin B6 is also necessary to for your body to properly absorb Vitamin B12 and Vitamin C.

Why Cold Press Juice is Best

Cold press juicing The PURE Juicer Immunity Blast maximizes the amount of vitamins and nutrients that actually make it into your juice. Forgoing heat and oxygen in the juicing process leads to less oxidation and degradation of the juice. I also love that you can leave the peel on many fruits while cold press juicing. This recipe can be made in any juicer, but we love to make the PURE Juicer Immunity Blast with our favorite PURE Juicer. I feel that the PURE Juicer is ideal for cold pressing the pineapple, blueberries, and oranges found in this recipe. The grinder of the PURE Juicer handles the fibrous ginger rood with ease. 

PURE Juicer Immunity Boost

  • 1-2 Cups of Fresh Blueberries

  • 4 Blood Oranges (Regular Oranges are perfect, too!)

  • 1 Medium Pineapple

  • 2 Large Lemons

  • Fresh Ginger (To taste)


  • Juice each ingredient.
  • Combine all the juices together and enjoy!


  • I recommend the immunity blast right after juicing. Nothing beats the taste of freshly squeezed juice! If stored in a tightly sealed container, cold pressed juice can be refrigerated for 2-3 days. The Pure Juicer Immunity Blast can also be poured into ice trays, frozen, and enjoyed for later on a hot summer day.

Bonus: Tips & Tricks

  1. If using a cold press juicer, you can leave the rind on the pineapple for a more nutritious juice–and it’s makes the job faster!
  2. I love that you can vary the amount of ginger in the recipe to suit your taste! Add more ginger for a juicer with a little more bite! My children prefer the recipe without any ginger.
  3. Serve Chilled – Add ice to your glass or refrigerate before drinking for a more refreshing treat.
  4. Garnish With Mint – Mint adds an aromatic dynamic to this immunity boosting juice!
  5. Add Chili Power for a kick! If our family is looking to switch things up, we add a SMALL pinch of chili powder to the juice for a little extra spice.
