Instant Pot Duo Evo Plus has been superseded by the Instant Pot Pro.
The Instant Pot Duo Evo Plus or simply the Duo Evo Plus is the very first pressure cooker from the brand that features quick cooling technology.
By using this optional accessory, you don’t have to wait for more than 30 minutes for your dish to cool down. It’s 50-70% faster.
At first, I’m a little doubtful about this claim, but after watching quite a few reviews. It really works as advertised. For nine bucks, you’ll have that convenience. (I’ll provide a link to it in the accessories section)
Otherwise, just take the pot off the cooking base and place it somewhere cooler.
Another thing I love about the Instant Pot Duo Evo is it offers over forty cooking presets. That’s one of the highest numbers in the world of multicookers.
However, I have to mention that the Instant Pot Pro has already superseded this product. In fact, the Instant Pot Duo Evo is only being sold as a preloved item.
By the way, it comes in two sizes.

There’s virtually no difference between these two models other than the cooking capacity.
While most of 6-quart Instant Pots are compatible with the Air Fryer Lid accessory, the Instapot Duo Evo Plus is sadly not on that list.
Now let’s get into the nitty gritty details.

What can you cook with the Instant Pot Duo Evo Plus?
The Duo Evo Plus Instant Pot is quite a capable kitchen appliance. It’s a 10-in-1 multicooker that can pressure cook, replace your rice cooker, steam your veggies, sautè, slow cook, make your favorite porridge, sous vide, and it can also be your very own yogurt machine.
Apart from those default cooking functions, the Duo Evo Plus also features 48 built-in programs. As a cherry on top, you can also save your custom settings.
Indeed, it’s a powerful multicooker but we have to answer the next question.
Is Instapot Duo Evo Plus easy to use?
All multicookers have a moderate learning curve, and that doesn’t exclude the Instant Pot Evo Plus. Having over 40 cooking functions makes it even more challenging to master.
The good news is, it features a handled pot. If you have a tall counter, it would be more convenient to sauté directly on your stovetop. It’s been a major concern for me, so I’m thinking of upgrading to a newer model with this feature.
Apart from the Duo Evo, the Instant Pot Pro, Instant Pot Pro Plus, and Instant Pot Pro Crisp offer a more ergonomic inner pot.
Another excellent trait of the Duo Evo Pressure Cooker is the safer vent knob. It’s farther away from the exhaust. Now you don’t have to use a fork or a spoon to do a manual pressure release.
Technically, the Duo Evo Plus is more user-friendly than classic Instant Pot models.
Now let’s check the maintenance part.
How to clean the Duo Evo Plus?
Thankfully, cleaning your Instant Pot is pretty much straightforward. You only have to deal with three parts, the cooking base, inner pot, and the lid. The pot is dishwasher safe; however, there are times when you need to soak it to loosen up tough greases.

Don’t take my word for it, here’s a quick video demonstration of the Duo Evo Plus.
The Instant Pot Duo Evo Plus is a 10-in-1 electric pressure cooker. It can also slow cook, sous vide, sauté, sear, cook rice and multigrains, steam, bake, make yogurt, and keep your food warm. On top of those functions, the Instapot Duo Evo Plus also features over 40 smart programs. It’s available in 6 or 8-qt cooking capacity.
What accessories can I get with the Duo Evo Plus 60 and Duo Evo Plus 80?
There are must-have attachments for the Instant Pot Duo Evo pressure cooker. Please select the proper sizing before checking out. As I mentioned at the beginning of this review, it’s available in a 6-quart and 8-quart configuration.
Extra Sealing Ring
Model # 211-0007-01
Some odors, especially from intense recipes, stick to the sealing ring. Consequently, milder recipes might pick up some of the odor/flavors if you use the same sealing ring. Therefore, it’s ideal for getting extra sealing ring(s) for different tastes (mild and strong).
Quick Cool Tray
QuickCool Tray for Evo Series
It takes some time for your pressure cooked dish to cool down. If you want to make things faster, this accessory will do the trick. You have to fill it with water and place it in the freezer. With this accessory, it’s 50-70% faster than waiting for your Instapot to cool down.

Is the Instant Pot Duo Evo Plus worth it?
The 6 qt / 8 qt 10-in-1 Instant Pot Duo Evo Plus was definitely a good choice back when it was released. Right now, you can only buy it as a used product. It is a bargain, but you won’t get a full year warranty with this kind of deal.
On top of it, the brand already shelved the Duo Evo Plus electric pressure cooker in favor of its successor, the Instant Pot Pro. All the features are in this new model with some significant improvements.
