The Instant Pot Duo Gourmet 60 is a Costco Exclusive product, but it may be available on eBay as a preloved item. Or, you can check out the Best Instant Pot—Instant Pot Pro Plus.
The best selling point of Instant Pot Duo Gourmet otherwise known as Instapot Gourmet, or simply the IP Duo Gourmet is undoubtedly the nine cooking capabilities.
But wait, here’s something you’ll admire more than the said multifunctionality:
It boasts an automatic vent sealing with a separate release valve. In short, it’s already better than the majority of electric pressure cookers in the market.

What can you cook with the Instant Pot Duo Gourmet?
As a 9-in-1 machine, it’s no surprise that the 6-Quart Instant Pot Duo Gourmet is capable of cooking countless types of recipes. And of course, it’s not just cooking. For instance, you can even use this machine as a sterilizer for baby bottles, talk about versatility!
In addition, it features 6 quart capacity, so you can effortlessly make substantial portions or perhaps a faster meal prep.
Examples of what you can cook: pulled pork, beef stew, corned beef, shredded chicken, ribs, pasta, pork loin, etc.
Significant functions you can utilize with the 6-Qt Instant Duo Gourmet:
If you’re wondering if it’s available in other sizes, sadly, there’s no 3-quart, 8-quart, and 10-quart cooking capacity offered for the Instant Pot Gourmet.
Now, let’s move on to its usability.
Is the 6-Qt Instant Pot Duo Gourmet Pressure Cooker easy to use?
Compared to the previous Instant Pot Duo SV, the Instant Duo Gourmet has a better control panel design.
First off, the dashboard features easy-to-understand controls, so that shouldn’t be a problem. For instance, to toggle between low and high pressure, simply push the pressure level button. Likewise, to modify duration or temperature, the plus and minus buttons are, well, self-explanatory.
Better yet?
With 15 smart programs, you get more straightforward cooking. Think about it, you can substitute the guesswork with a button press making things undoubtedly easier.
Essentially, these programs have a predetermined duration, pressure, and/or temperature. As a result, you can skip modifying anything and go straight to cooking most of the time.
Naturally, you can customize these smart programs which then, the machine saves. In a nutshell, you can personalize any of the functions depending on your favorite recipe.
For instance, the machine saves your better and specific duration for your oatmeal. Hence, the next time you use the same program, you can easily recreate your perfect oatmeal.
And the best part?
The Instapot Duo Gourmet hallmarks automatic sealing, which is my favorite feature for an electric pressure cooker. Imagine, even when you forget to close the vent, the machine will do it for you. Briefly speaking, that’s one more minor step to worry about.
More importantly, the IP Duo Gourmet includes a separate release button. Think about it, instead of touching the vent directly, your hand stays at a safer distance. Consequently, it’s also easier to operate.
On a slightly different note:
Unlike traditional methods, you don’t have to worry about too many pots or pans to clean after cooking.
Here’s a video demo on how to clean it:
Better yet? The lid and inner pot are dishwasher safe making things even simpler.

The Instant Pot Duo Gourmet is a brilliant multi-cooker that can replace 9 appliances for a more affordable price. It has a 6 quart (5.7 L) capacity for large portions. More importantly, it highlights 15 smart programs to make any kitchen task more manageable.
What accessories can I get with the Instapot Duo Gourmet?
Here are some accessories you should consider after buying the Instant Pot Duo Gourmet:
Instant Pot Air Fryer Lid
Model # 140-3003-01
If you want to add 6 more cooking functions, you should undoubtedly consider Instant Pot Air Fryer Lid. By having so, you can quickly achieve crunchy skin after pressure cooking in the same pot. And of course, that’s just one of the many advantages of this attachment.

Is the Instant Pot Duo Gourmet worth it?
If you see this at your local Costco, then the 6-quart 9-in-1 Instant Pot Duo Gourmet Pressure Cooker is undoubtedly worth it. It’s an affordable multicooker, and considering its multiple functionalities, it’ll be a money well-spent.
However, it’s an outdated model. If you want a more refined Instant Pot (with modern features), you should get the NEW Instant Pot Pro Plus or the Instant Pot Max instead. Spoiler, they both have touchscreen control panels.
