Instant Pot Nova Plus has already been discontinued by the brand and is only available as as a preloved item on eBay. Just in case, here are the latest Instant Pot Pressure Cookers.
The Instant Pot Nova Plus 60, also known as the Nova Pressure Cooker or simply the Instapot Nova, is a 6-quart electric multicooker with nine core functions.
Apart from pressure cooking, it can also slow cook, sauté, replace your rice cooker, heat your soup, steam, and keep your food warm.
It’s a good reason to get rid of multiple kitchen appliances in your kitchen. I’ve ditched my rice cooker since getting my hands on an Instant Max. IMHO, it’s a safer way to pressure cook than the classic cooktop model.
After comparing it to the original Instant Pot Duo, I found out that they are basically twins. All their cooking functions and buttons are pretty much the same. They also share the exact vent mechanism, which is quite out of date.
Based on the brand’s old web page for the Instant Nova Plus, it’s apparently a Costo-exclusive product.
The bad news, however, is it’s no longer on the market. So, go ahead and check the Instant Pot Duo Plus or their latest models—Instant Pot Max and the Instant Pot Pro Plus.

What can you cook with the Instant Pot Nova Plus?
While the Instant Pot Nova Plus is advertised as a 9-in-1 electric pressure cooker, it’s the replica of the original Instant Pot Duo, which is a 7-in-1 multi-cooker. It confuses me for a bit, but at the end of the day it’s just a marketing strategy.
In reality, the Instapot Nova has more than a dozen built-in smart programs, not to mention that any 6-quart Instant Pot is compatible with the air fryer lid. Getting that accessory will open up to six more cooking functions.
Anyhow, here’s what you can do with the Nova Plus 60.
In terms of cooking capacity, the Instant Nova is not available in 3-qt, 8-qt and 10-qt configuration.
Is the 6-Quart Instant Pot Nova Plus easy to use?
All multicookers have a certain level of difficulty, and the Instant Pot Nova Pressure Cooker is not an exception. It’s not like a Instant blender that you can operate out of the box. It’s a bit challenging at first, but it will surely be a piece of cake after a few weeks of using it.
A lot of consumers fear that their Instant Pot might explode, and that includes me. After a few months of using it, it never exploded on me. I later found out that it’s equipped with ten advanced safety features, so there’s a very slim chance that it will accidentally blast off.
But that doesn’t give you a pass from reading all the safety precautions from your product manual.
One disadvantage that it shares with the Instant Pot Duo is the classic vent release. It’s still built right into the vent itself. You need to be careful with the steam when releasing it.
To sum it up, multi-cookers have a moderate learning curve, but it’s all worth it.
How to clean the Instapot Nova Plus 60?

If you’re dealing with a non-greasy dish, cleaning your Instant Pot Nova Plus is pretty much straightforward, as demonstrated above. The only thing that you need to pay close attention to are the small components of the lid. Losing any of it would mean buying a new one.

I highly recommend getting an extra pot. It’s really helpful when you’re making both the primary and side dishes in your pressure cooker. Instead of cleaning the same pot after cooking, you can prepare the next dish and cook it right away.
Instant Pot Transparent Lid

Another excellent accessory to buy is a transparent lid. It’s exceptionally beneficial when slow cooking as you can see the contents. However, if you already have a transparent cover that fits, you don’t need to get another one.
Extra Sealing Ring
Model # 211-0007-01
Some odors, especially from intense recipes, stick to the sealing ring. Consequently, milder recipes might pick up some of the odor/flavors if you use the same sealing ring. Therefore, it’s ideal for getting extra sealing ring(s) for different tastes (mild and strong).
Steamer basket

Here’s the deal: Some ingredients don’t fit well with the included steamer rack. Therefore, if you’ll frequently steam, getting a steamer basket with small holes is more advantageous.
