The Ninja BL660 belongs to the brand’s professional blender series. It has a powerful 1100 watt motor that can crush ice instantaneously and also work as a personal blender. In short, it’s a functional product with multiple applications.
Here’s the deal:
Ninja Professional BL660 is an old model that was released more than half a decade ago. The design is quite outdated, to be honest.
If you want a newer product with the same capabilities, the most up to date Ninja Professional Kitchen System would be a perfect alternative.
Otherwise, if you’re already committed to the Ninja Pro System 1100, let’s find out if it’s worth the trouble—starting with the pros and cons.

Ninja Professional Blender 1100 Features
What can you make with Ninja BL660?
The Ninja Pro System 1100 is quite a capable machine considering its age in the market and its budget-friendliness.
Here are a few things that you might want to try:
Unfortunately, you won’t be able to make hot soups with the Ninja BL660 on its own. It’s not powerful enough like a Vitamix blender. If you really want to make hot piping soups with your smoothie maker, you might want to check the best cooking blenders.
In addition, the Ninja Professional 1100 Watts is also not built for processing dry ingredients. Making flour with this product is a big no-no.
One thing that this product struggles with is blend quality. Despite the intimidating total crushing blade, the 72 oz. pitcher won’t yield a perfectly smooth result. The only workaround to achieve a perfect blend is to use the Nutri Ninja Cups.
Keep those in mind, and you’ll be alright.
Is Ninja BL660 easy to use?
Here’s why it’s not easy to use:
Ninja Professional BL660’s Total Crushing Blades are a bit intimidating. The company made it extra safe for users, but it added an extra level of difficulty for those who are not familiar with the brand.
Here’s what I mean by that:
As a matter of fact, the Ninja made a product manual specifically for those blades. When transferring your smoothie, use the spout without removing the lid. Or, if you prefer to take the lid off, make sure to remove the Total Crushing Blades first.
Unlike traditional blenders, the blades aren’t fixed to the container. It’s sharp, so treat it with respect. Never remove the lid while blending.
Once you get used to it, making smoothies will be a piece of cake. There are just six buttons to fiddle with. There are three blending speed levels, a pulse and power button, and an option for using the single-serve cups.
So in terms of usability, we’ll give it 2/5.
Here’s the good news:
All the parts (except for the motor base) are dishwasher safe, and the base only requires a quick wipe. It has a flat control panel that isn’t prone to food debris getting stuck.

Here’s a video demo of Steph:
The Ninja BL660 is technically an old product, but it still does the job. It has a potent 1100-watt that can blitz through ice cubes with ease. Moreover, it comes with a 64 oz (1.89 L) pitcher for hefty servings and two 16 oz (473 mL) cups for single-serve smoothies.
