The NutriBullet Rx 1700 Watt blender has been around for more than half a decade. However, it’s still wildly popular today.
What made it such a hit is its walk-away blend settings—the NutriBlaster cycle and the SouperBlaster mode. The first one’s for making smoothies, and the latter is for making soups.
When you activate any of those settings, you don’t have to worry about the blending time and speed. All you have to do is put the ingredients and set the blade and cup assembly on to the power base.
If you’re interested in a much more updated model, that’s where the new Nutribullet Soup Maker will come in—the Nutribullet Select. It also comes with a large capacity vented container but the motor is not on par with the RX model.
Now, let’s see if you’ll remain impressed when you read its advantages and disadvantages.

Nutribullet 1700 Watt Blender Features
What can you make with Nutribullet Rx?
The brand marketed NutriBullet Rx Blender as a smoothie maker and hot soup machine, but you can do a whole lot more with it. With its 2.3 HP motor, it can even make thick nut butter, baby food and brew some hot drinks.
Here’s a full list of what you can do with the Nutri Bullet RX.
*For safety reasons, please only use the SouperBlast pitcher when making hot soups. Don’t pour hot liquid directly into the cup. The SouperBlast cycle will heat the contents at a maximum temperature of 70 °C through friction heat.
Is Nutribullet Soup Maker easy to use?
The NutriBullet Rx Blender has two modes—the NutriBlast mode (for making smoothie), and SouperBlast mode (for making soups).
If you look at the power base, you’ll notice that there are just two buttons. There’s the power switch on the side and the main button with the NutriBullet logo at the center.
By default, when you set the cup on, it will engage the NutriBlast mode. It’s going to run continuously for 1 minute until all your ingredients are perfectly blended.
Should you need to make hot soups, all you have to do is press the center button for two seconds and wait for the light to turn red. Once it’s activated, your blender will run continuously for seven minutes until your soup is piping hot.
Here’s the thing:
Before you start using your NutriBullet, read the manual carefully. There are a lot of dos and don’ts with this product. It’s quite easy to mess things up if you don’t follow their instructions by heart.
In terms of maintenance, the only part that isn’t dishwasher safe is the blade base. All the containers and cups are dishwasher friendly.
To sum it up, usability-wise, I’m giving the NutriBullet Soup Maker 3/5. It’s designed to be a straight forward product, but you need to familiarize yourself with many gotchas.
