Omega CNC80 Series
Omega CNC80 Series

The Omega CNC80 Series is the company’s 7th Generation Nutrition System. It’s the proper and direct successor to their best selling Omega 8006 Juicer. It has a cleaner and more compact body, and it has a much larger funnel for faster feeding.

I’m surprised that this new machine is actually cheap, it’s cheaper than most cold press juicers in the market. Right now it’s probably the best juicer you can get for your money.

It doesn’t come without any flaws. One big bummer is it’s not completely BPA free. Based on my research only the housing is made of Tritan plastic which is void of any Bisphenol compound. However, the company doesn’t directly state that in the product manual nor on the product page. The info came from a third party. This leads us to the conclusion that the detachable parts may contain the BPA compound.

If BPA isn’t an issue at all, this would have been a perfect juice extractor. A cheap, compact, and reliable machine.

It’s available in two color options; the Omega CNC80R (red) or the Omega CNC80S (silver).

Pros

  • Affordable
  • Two colors to choose from, silver and red
  • Comes with a larger funnel which makes feeding fruits and vegetables easier
  • Slow juicing action minimizes oxidation of your juice
  • Horizontal masticating juicers produce much higher juice yield
  • 72-hour juice shelf life
  • It can process all types of fruits and vegetables
  • Plus it can also be your very own food processor, homogenizer, noodle maker, and grinder
  • Sleeker and more compact design
  • Quiet operation
  • Dishwasher safe parts
  • External pulp ejection allows juicing large quantities of produce

Cons

  • Masticating juicers are typically slow compared to centrifugal juice makers
  • Narrow chute requires chopping your produce into fine pieces making your juicing process even slower
  • The only BPA-free part of this machine is the housing, all other parts may contain the substance

Omega CNC80S & CNC80R Features

Is Omega CNC80 easy to use?

Just like its predecessor, the Omega CNC80 Compact Juicer is easy to operate. Assembly will just take 7 easy steps and 9 parts in total to get you started juicing. If you’re not new to horizontal masticating juicer like this machine, you won’t probably have to look at the manual. The parts are very self-explanatory.

I’d like to put emphasis on its larger funnel. It can accommodate more fruits and vegetable for faster feeding. It’s a fact that you’ll need more time cutting your produce with slow juicers, but this is all worth it in the end. Who wouldn’t want to drink a fresh glass of juice filled with anti-oxidants, vitamins and minerals?

Is Omega CNC80 easy to clean?

Once you’re done juicing, cleaning this machine up will just take a minute or two. If you don’t like washing by hand, all of the detachable parts are top rack dishwasher safe.

Don’t take my word for it, watch this product video of Juicers.co.uk:

Juice Quality

This 7th generation nutrition system is a masticating juicer. This type of machine produces higher juice yield and at the same time retains more nutrients than high-speed juice extractors. The slow squeezing action minimizes oxidation which destroys the nutrients in your juice. This is the reason why you can store a cold-pressed juice for 72 hours.

To sum it up in terms of juice quality, both the CNC80R and CNC80S are exceptional.

Non-Juicing Functions

To be honest, I’m not a fan of these non-juicing functions. I use my juicer solely for juicing. I don’t know about you but you might find these extra features useful.

The CNC80 Series can be used as a food processor to chop your meat, fish, fruits, and vegetables into fine pieces for any meal you’re planning. This mincing/grinding ability also allows you to prepare ingredients for marinades, salsas, soups, and sauces. Additionally, it can also process soaked rice and beans producing a puree-like consistency.

If you feel like eating healthy frozen desserts, feel free to freeze your juice into ice cubes then let the machine turn it into a cold healthy treat by adding milk, yogurt and other ingredients to your heart’s content. This homogenizer function can also be used to make nut butter and baby food.

The complementary nozzles can be used to make pasta of varying shapes and sizes, you can choose between a round or a flat noodle; better yet you can add some flavor to your pasta to make a Korean style u-dong noodles. Nozzles with a larger opening can be used to form breadsticks. The bad news is you still have to prepare your dough.

You can even grind your own coffee beans for a fresh cup of java with this machine. Some coffee beans (especially gourmet coffees) have higher oil content, this has to be dried overnight for easier processing.

What kinds of produce can Omega CNC80R & CNC80S juice?

Hard produce includes cilantro, pear, sweet potato, watermelon, cauliflower, pepper, garlic, apple, pineapple, turmeric, ginger, yakon, broccoli, pumpkin, cucumber, beets, celery, coconut, carrots, fennel, bitter gourd, and asparagus.

Leafy greens include moringa, peppermint, kale, spinach, spring onion, brussels sprout, pine tree needles, romaine lettuce, lettuce, collard greens, cabbage, wheatgrass, basil, parsley, dandelion greens, and beet greens.

Citrus fruits include mandarin, lemon, grapefruit, lime, tangerine, and orange.

Soft fruits such as cranberries, strawberry, papaya, kiwifruit, tomato, blackberry, grapes, avocado, melon, mango, peach, and pomegranate can be turned into a puree using the blank screen.

This juicing machine can also help you make non-dairy milk alternatives from nuts and beans, provided that you soak them overnight.

Is Omega CNC80 worth it?

The Omega CNC80 Series is an amazing masticating juice extractor. It’s affordable, efficient and compact. This product is probably the best looking horizontal masticating juicer with the Omega logo. It’s the perfect successor to their all-time famous Omega J8006, retaining all its great features plus some major improvements.
