Omega JC3000, Taken Apart
The Juicer, cleaned after usage, taken apart and ready for storage.

Juicing isn’t a fad for some of us. It’s a way of life. If you take your juicing seriously, you want a reliable juicer that is efficient and affordable. Keep reading to see if the Omega Cold Press 365 might work for you.

The Omega Cold Press 365, obviously by Omega, could do the job on all fronts. It has three-stage auger presses, and this machine will also squeeze each vegetable, carrots, spinach, and everything in between. Plus, it breaks down easy and is dishwasher safe.

Call me crazy, but I never wash my juicers in a dishwasher. I’ve found over the years that they hold up better if washed by hand. But if you are on the go and need to toss this juicer’s components into the dishwasher, they’ll be fine.

Omega Cold Press 365 Vertical Masticating Juicer Features

Below you can read in detail the features of the Omega Cold Press 365 that make it attractive to dedicated juicers.

It’s a Cold Press Slow Juicer

The Omega Cold Press Juicer operates at a low RPM, which stands for revolutions per minute. This slow process gently extracts juice from the fruits and veggies that will make up your drink. Doing this will give your juice the optimal amount of healthy enzymes, vitamins, and minerals.

Also, this approach reduces heat buildup and delays oxidation, so your juice will last longer in the fridge. It also tastes better, IMO!

Speaking of flavor…

Max Flavor and Nutrients

Because the Omega works on two speeds, paired with the robust Auger, it should extract the maximum amount of nutrients and vitamins available. This approach offers a more robust flavor using the least amount of fruits, leafy greens, and vegetables possible. This is the dream; to get more juice out of less produce.

User-Friendly Features

Who doesn’t love something user-friendly? Everyone does. Of course, some people enjoy tinkering with complicated machinery, but if you’re anything like me, you want to press the least amount of buttons you can. You can use this juicer every day, and it has an easy-to-operate digital touchpad.

No Mess

If you love to juice, you know how messy it can be. The process of extracting liquid from a carrot isn’t easy, and it can leave behind a lot of slop. The Omega offers a dispensing fountain with a no-drip tap. Juice is dispensed from that tap into a container with the juicer. You can also put your glass under the tap if you prefer.

Easy To Clean

I will go on a limb when I say this, but everyone wants an easy-to-clean appliance. The Omega comes with an anti-clog reverse function. This allows the person using the juice to stop the process and clear any clogs, all while you continue to juice. Plus, the pieces are top-rack dishwasher safe.

Countertop-Friendly Design

I prefer my countertops to be appliance free. The vertical design of the Omega Cold Press 365 is slim, which offers an easy fit in a lower cabinet or tall shelf in your pantry. If you prefer to keep it on the counter, which is more convenient when you use it every day, then this should be able to fit in a corner.

But Also Made from Inexpensive (Cheap) Components

Close up pic showing that the components that make this juicer aren't of the best quality.
The components are not the highest quality

Because of its price, Omega can’t afford the finest grade materials in this juicer. While the juicer worked fine for me during my weeks of testing, I suspect some owners may have experience problems over the long term.

The plastic components didn’t seem as sturdy as some other juicers I’ve owned or tested. The motor housing isn’t the most solid I’ve seen either.

Cold Press Juicer vs Centrifugal Juicers

There are different categories of juicers out there, but mostly the debate is between slow, cold-press juicers and centrifugal juicers. So here are some of the pros and cons of those two:

Cold-press (Slow) JuicersCentrifugal Juicers
✅ Slower RPMs and less oxidation❌ Higher RPMs and more oxidation
✅ Longer juice shelf life (72 hours)❌ Only 24 hour shelf life
✅ Quieter❌ Typically loud
❌ Typically more expensive✅ Typically less expensive
✅ Less foam❌ More foam
✅ Can juice fruits, vegetables, celery, and leafy greens❌ Not good at juicing leafy greens
✅ Drier pulp❌ Wetter pulp
❌ Slower✅ Faster juicing process

What Can I Make with the Omega Cold Press 365 Vertical Juicer?

You can make juice. That’s it. This is not a blender or the type of machine to crush ice. The Omega is for those who want to make their own carrot, beet, and celery juice. The good news is there are so many beautiful combinations that you will be amazed by.

Here are a few examples of produce you can juice with your Omega:

  • carrots, beets, and ginger
  • cucumbers, apples, and celery
  • Mint, kale, spinach
  • Oranges, lemons, nectarine

As you can see, there are very few things you can’t mix to create a delicious juice that can keep you going through the day. Juicing has a lot of benefits, and it’s also delicious!

When used correctly, juicing has numerous benefits. Of course, we always recommend consulting a healthcare professional before drastically changing your diet. Going from a regular diet to all juice can be difficult for the body, and it’s not something the health professionals at Juicing Journal recommend.

What are people saying about the Omega Cold Press 365?

When looking at the reviews online, most people like this juicer, but others are unhappy with the product. There were reports of it being not easy to clean and even one of it breaking after one use. But it has four out of five stars, which is pretty good.

Is the Omega Cold Press 365 easy to use?

Yes. It is simple to take apart and put together. The buttons are user-friendly, but cleaning out a clog occasionally is a pain.

Is the Omega Cold Press 365 easy to clean?

While it’s easier to clean than some juicers, I wouldn’t necessarily say it’s easy to clean. The pulp still gets everywhere in the container, and it takes time to wash it out. But again, this is the price we pay for freshly squeezed juice.

My advice is no matter how easy to clean the manufacturer claims it to be, Always rinse out the juicer immediately. Do not let it sit. Otherwise, you’re doubling the time it would take to wash the device. You’ll spend all your time trying to get rid of stuck on pulp.

Wrapping Up

Overall, this is a good, moderately-priced juicer for someone just starting their juicing adventure. While different sites offer it for different prices, this juicer isn’t the cheapest out there.

But if you want a robust machine that can break down those fruits and veggies for you, this will do it, but your cleanup won’t be as simple as they claim.
