Update: The brand refreshed the Omega Juice Cube Series—the Omega JCUBE500RD (red), and Omega JCUBE500SV (silver).
I will update this review once I get the chance. But, judging from the looks of it, not much has changed.
If you believe in love at first sight, the Omega Juice Cube Series could be your perfect match. It’s the newest machine offered by Omega. Just as the name suggests, it is shaped like a cube.
Award: #4 Best Masticating Juicer, #3 Best Omega Juicer
It is a compact juicer with on-board storage. It comes with an additional rear cavity for storing the juicer’s accessories which have been a huge hassle for standard horizontal masticating juicers.
The parts are BPA-free, coming in silver (Omega CUBE300S) and red (Omega CUBE300R). Because of its innovative design, it is highly appealing for those with less counter space. The Juice Cube sets up and stows away fairly easily.
The feed chute opening is circular in shape. The auger rotates at 80 RPM, crushing a variety of produce to slowly extract wholesome juice. In addition to juice, it creates pasta, nut butter, and fruit sorbets.
It uses 200 watts of power to quietly grind dense veggies, coffee beans, and herbs.
When I watched the demonstration videos, it seems quieter than previous masticating juicers. It includes six nozzles, a strainer, a single heavy-duty, steel juicing screen, and a blank screen.
This juicer is covered by a 15-year warranty. Omega has impeccable customer service, and if you have any problems, contact them for assistance.
But the million dollar question is… Is this a vertical or a horizontal masticating juicer? I almost categorized it as a vertical masticating juicer but I realized that the technology it uses comes from the horizontal type, therefore, we can safely classify this new machine as a horizontal masticating juicer.
But the million dollar question is… what type of juicer is it? Is this a vertical or a horizontal masticating juicer? The confusion comes from the cubic form factor, but it is definitely a horizontal juicer. The engineers use a gear design to transfer power from the electric motor 90 degrees to the masticator.

- It can also make soy and almond milk
- BPA free parts
- External pulp ejection for continuous juicing

Cons
- Price, it’s not cheap as an entry level juice extractor
- Masticating juicers are typically slow
- Additional preparation time for cutting your fruits and vegetables into smaller pieces because of the narrow feeding chute
- Not the best at juicing soft fruits such as pineapple
- If you juice large amounts of soft fruits without alternating firmer items, the juice may become clogged which requires disassembly to clear
Omega Juice Cube Features & Product Details
Is it easy to use?
Using this juicing machine is slightly different when it comes to setting it up, but using it is a simple process. If you already have a horizontal, masticating juicer, then you should know the assembly is similar.
Simply flip the auger housing upright and put everything together. The pulp regulator knob is slipped right onto the end of the juice nozzle. It has three adjustable levels to apply pressure for optimal extraction.
For example, dense items like carrots need the highest level and items like oranges need the lowest level of pressure.
To avoid confusion, the containers are labeled. You will need to slice up your produce into smaller items in order to fit the pieces into the feed chute. It manages to easily juice most items and often self-feeds—especially when the item is sliced into smaller strips.
Juicing Soft Fruits and Vegetables
If you want to juice soft items such as pineapple, alternate a softer item with more firm, dense items. In our testing with pineapple, the pineapple pulp would get stuck in the masticator. This forced the juice to back up, even up the chute a little. But when we juiced a piece of pineapple and then alternated it with a piece of pineapple core, things flowed a little better.
Tips on Use
- While operating the machine, slowly place the produce into the chute.
- To ensure steady operation, allow the machine to work at its own pace. Even though it is a slow juicer, it will finish juicing faster than you would imagine.
Is it easy to clean?
It is dishwasher safe, but it is best to wash the parts by hand in warm, soapy water as soon as you have finished juicing. It is not difficult to clean. Use the included cleaning brush to remove fiber from the metal juicing screen.
Make sure to scrub the pulp completely from the parts because you do not want to leave any residue behind. If you are going to wash the parts in the dishwasher, place everything on the top rack, and wash on the lowest temperature setting.
Pre-clean the juicing screen to remove the pulp. If the pulp hardens on the screen, allow it to soak in warm, soapy water to soften the dried pulp for approximately ten minutes.
Juice Quality
It features a dual stage masticating extraction process to remove the most optimal yield of juice. It crushes the items and presses the pulp against the juicing screen to separate the juice from the fiber.
This slow process safely removes enzymes, nutrients, and antioxidants the body needs to be healthy. Furthermore, masticating juicers tend to produce more juice at a higher quality level than a centrifugal (fast) juicer.
The resulting juice is full bodied and delicious.
A masticating juicer, like the Omega Juice Cube, will always produce a higher yield and better quality than any centrifugal juicer on the market. To absorb the highest levels of nutrients, drink it on an empty stomach as soon as you have finished juicing.
Do not forget to swish it around in your mouth and chew a few times to encourage the digestive process to begin.
Juice Quality After Storage
One advantage of a masticating juicer is you can store the juice for a longer period of time. Create a batch and pour it into a glass container, almost to the top.
Seal it with an airtight lid and keep it cold until you’re ready to drink it. Please note, glass is the best option for storage, but stainless steel and plastic containers are good alternatives.
In our tests, we found that there was no perceptible degradation of flavor when the juice was refrigerated overnight in a sealed container.

Non-Juicing Functions
Similar to the 8000 series, this new machine is also equipped with complimentary accessories to help you do other things aside from juicing. Omega Cube300S can also be a food processor, homogenizer, pasta maker, coffee grinder.
It can be used as a food processor to chop your meat, fish, fruits, and vegetables into fine pieces for any meal you’re planning. This mincing/grinding ability also allows you to prepare ingredients for marinades, salsas, soups, and sauces.
Additionally, it can also process soaked rice and beans producing a puree-like consistency.
If you feel like eating healthy frozen desserts, feel free to freeze your juice into ice cubes then let the machine turn it into a cold healthy treat by adding milk, yogurt and other ingredients to your heart’s content. This homogenizer function can also be used to make nut butter and baby food.
The complimentary nozzles of Omega Juice Cube can be used to make pasta of varying shapes and sizes, you can choose between a round or a flat noodle; better yet you can add some flavor to your pasta to make a Korean style u-dong noodles.
Nozzles with a larger opening can be used to form breadsticks. The bad news is you still have to prepare your dough.
You can even grind your own coffee beans for a fresh cup of java with this machine. Some coffee beans (especially gourmet coffees) have higher oil content, this has to be dried overnight for easier processing.
What Kinds of Produce Can the Omega CUBE300S and Omega CUBE300R Juice?
All types of produce can be processed by this juice press—soft & hard produce, leafy greens, citrus fruits, and nuts and beans. Please note that when juicing very soft items such as pineapple, you may need to alternate firmer items to prevent the juicer from becoming clogged.
Hard produce includes beets, carrots, apple, pepper, cauliflower, watermelon, fennel, turmeric, asparagus, pear, cucumber, garlic, broccoli, yakon, sweet potato, bitter gourd, celery, cilantro, ginger, coconut, pineapple, and pumpkin.
You can turn soft fruits such as avocado, kiwifruit, papaya, melon, peach, tomato, grapes, pomegranate, strawberry, mango, blackberry and cranberries into a puree using this machine.
Leafy greens include spinach, brussels sprout, basil, peppermint, wheatgrass, lettuce, kale, cabbage, dandelion greens, spring onion, collard greens, moringa, pine tree needles, beet greens, and parsley.
Citrus fruits include lemon, mandarin, grapefruit, orange, lime, and tangerine.
It can also help you make soy and almond milk to add variety to your juicing routine.
