Is the Omega NC900 easy to use?

The Omega NC900 Juicer is simple to assemble and operate. Since the feed chute is 2 x 1.5 inches, you can put larger pieces of produce down the chute. Items like apples will still need to be cut into smaller portions, but most items will fit with ease.

Items such as celery should also be chopped into small pieces to prevent the fibrous stalks from wrapping around the auger. Prepare your produce before you begin juicing so you can complete the process without stopping.

Allow the machine to work consistently, without trying to force the produce down the chute and into the auger to avoid jamming the machine.

If you want to juice soft produce, alternate it with a hard, fibrous item that will help it through. A bonus for this juicer is the drum cap, which allows you to adjust the tension on the produce.

It lets you control the level of juice extraction. It is simple to use, set it on “1” for soft items and up to “5” for hard items.

Is Omega NC900 easy to clean?

This juice extractor is easy to clean and doesn’t have any difficult nooks to clean. Wash the components by hand in warm, soapy water as soon as you finish juicing.

Make sure to use the nylon cleaning brush to scrub off any remaining pulp from the metal juicing screen. You can also place the juicer parts into the top rack of the dishwasher if you prefer to do so.

However, it is always better to wash everything by hand.

You do not want to allow the pulp to dry or build-up on the juicing screen or other on other areas of the juicer parts. When it hardens, it becomes difficult to remove.

If you continue to allow juice and pulp to dry, then it will begin to build up over time, leaving flaky sediment behind. If you ever forget to clean the screen, allow it to sit in hot water for about 10 minutes to allow the pulp to soften before you try to clean it with the brush.

Also, once a week, scrub the parts really well with the nylon brush to prevent any possible sediment from building up on the juicer parts.

Juice Quality

This juicing machine takes advantage of the innovative dual-stage extraction process in which the pulp is slowly crushed and then pressed against a juicing screen to separate the juice from the pulp.

The cold-pressed, masticating process delivers juice full of enzymes, antioxidants, and nutrients with the least amount of damage due to less oxidation.

Slow juicers produce better quality and higher quantities of juice when compared to centrifugal juice makers. The expelled pulp is extremely dry.

This juicer delivers full-flavored juice without compromising on the quality of the juice. Feel free to create batches of juice for later consumption.

Make enough juice to fill the container all the way to the top. While it is fine to use plastic or stainless steel containers, glass is the best option. Use a tight lid to seal in the flavor and nutrients.

If you do not drink it right away, feel free to store it for up to 72 hours in the refrigerator. You can even take it with you on the go, but make sure to keep it cold.

Non-Juicing Functions

Not only it can help you prepare healthy juices, but it also serves additional functions to provide variety in your juicing routine—food processor, homogenizer, pasta maker, coffee grinder.

It can be used as a food processor to chop your meat, fish, fruits, and vegetables into fine pieces for any meal you’re planning. This mincing/grinding ability also allows you to prepare ingredients for marinades, salsas, soups, and sauces.

Additionally, it can also process soaked rice and beans producing a puree-like consistency.

If you feel like eating healthy frozen desserts, feel free to freeze your juice into ice cubes then let the machine turn it into a cold healthy treat by adding milk, yogurt and other ingredients to your heart’s content. This homogenizer function can also be used to make nut butter and baby food.

The complimentary nozzles can be used to make pasta of varying shapes and sizes, you can choose between a round or a flat noodle; better yet you can add some flavor to your pasta to make a Korean style u-dong noodles.

Nozzles with a larger opening can be used to form breadsticks. The bad news is you still have to prepare your dough.

You can even grind your own coffee beans for a fresh cup of java with this machine. Some coffee beans (especially gourmet coffees) have higher oil content, this has to be dried overnight for easier processing.

This juice press can process all types of produce—soft and dense produce, leafy greens, citrus fruits, beans, and nuts.

Dense produce include fennel, pumpkin, sweet potato, pepper, cilantro, carrots, garlic, cauliflower, yakon, turmeric, pineapple, celery, beets, ginger, bitter gourd, asparagus, cucumber, coconut, pear, apple, watermelon, and broccoli.

Leafy greens include wheatgrass, kale, parsley, moringa, basil, cabbage, brussels sprout, lettuce, peppermint, beet greens, spinach, pine tree needles, spring onion, collard greens, and dandelion greens.
