Deluxe Cooking Blender Features
Here’s the deal:
The feature you’ll probably like the most is the automatic blend settings. It may not be unique, but it definitely makes things easier. Unfortunately, that is one of the only benefits, and I have found better cooking blenders with similar presets.
Let’s dive more into the features of the Pampered Chef Cooking Blender.
Jam and Jelly Cooking Program
One of the unique cooking presets on the Pampered Chef Cooking Blender is the jam and jelly setting. It takes many hours to make your own jams and jellies the traditional way, but this cooking blender considerably cuts the time (and the work).
You could probably make jams with other cooking blenders that have a powerful enough motor, like the Ninja Hot and Cold Blender or the Instant Ace Plus Blender, but those blenders don’t have a cooking program specifically for the purpose, and it would probably take longer.
Large Capacity
The Pampered Chef Deluxe Cooking Blender is one of the largest capacity blenders out there. You can make an astounding 6 cups of hot ingredients or 7 cups of cold ingredients at one time. This distinction is important because you need to leave room in the pitcher for boiling when cooking with the blender.
Small Footprint
This blender won’t take up much space on your counter. Other cooking blenders are a bit larger than the average blender, but the Pampered Chef Deluxe Blender is a fairly standard size for a blender. That makes it ideal to keep on the counter, ready to use at a moment’s notice.
Tamper Included but Not Needed
The Pampered Chef Cooking Blender comes with a tamper to keep your thicker blends mixing appropriately. This is useful for things like hummus, and the design of the blender allows you to use the tamper while it is still running.
But here’s the thing:
You don’t need it unless you do those thick blends like nut butter. The aeration of this blender is ideal, and most of the time, you won’t need to tamp it down, stir it, or scrape the sides during use. Just toss in your ingredients and blend away.
Included 60-Recipe Cooking Guide
Normally I wouldn’t include a cooking guide as a feature, but in this case, it deserves attention. Almost every kitchen appliance has a cooking guide with a few recipes, but they usually aren’t very helpful. This one is very comprehensive.
The 60 recipes will get you started making just about any food this blender can handle, and from there, it is very easy to adjust for your own recipes. Someone who has never used a cooking blender before and wants to make the most of the appliance would benefit from this cookbook considerably.
Safety Features
In addition to the locking lid, several safety features on the Pampered Chef Cooking Blender are very attractive

Accessories
Accessories complete the package, but I was disappointed in those offered for the Pampered Chef Cooking Blender.
Pampered Chef Deluxe Smoothie Cup
For the majority of blenders, having this accessory is a winning factor. Especially if you love making smoothies, this is a must-have attachment.
Essentially, this saves time when you want that morning smoothie, but you have to go right away. By having so, you won’t have to transfer and clean the full-sized container.
Sadly, this is not included in your purchase. Nonetheless, I don’t recommend this Pampered Chef accessory. Here’s why in 6 words:
“The lid is NOT leak-proof.”
What can you make with Pampered Chef Blender?
The Pampered Chef Deluxe Blender has a robust 2-peak HP making it a high-powered blender. In other words, it’s capable of creating advanced recipes. Moreover, it has a built-in heating element that opens up more possibilities.
The heating element of this blender allows you to make hot, pureed soups, jams, and sauces from fresh produce in one easy appliance. Unfortunately, it doesn’t have as much versatility as other cooking blenders.
In any case, here’s what you can make with the Pampered Chef Deluxe Cooking Blender:
*These recipes might require more liquid and some assistance with the tamper.
What makes this cooking blender so appealing is that you can put hot foods and liquids into the blender. It is very unsafe to put hot items in the average blender. I wanted to try it because it makes it possible to make jams and sauces from precooked foods without waiting to cool before pureeing. I mainly found it helpful in making fresh baby food.
Now here’s something ironic:
You see, one of the primary purposes of a cooking blender is to be able to make BOTH chunky and creamy soup. This machine, on the other hand, can’t make chunky hot soup.
In other words, getting a more robust blender—such as Vitamix Blenders or Blendtec Classic—is a far better choice. They can also make creamy hot soup and are considerably more durable and efficient.
If you want a hot and cold blender that can make chunky soups, the Ninja Foodi cooking blender has a Hearty function, and you can still find them new even though it has been discontinued.
Now, let’s tackle its usability.
Is Pampered Chef Blender easy to use?
The controls are straightforward to use. At the same time, it looks stylish with its blue light aesthetics. In fact, among all the cooking blenders, the Pampered Chef Blender has the best controls.
With the 7 automatic food programs, your blending experience is unquestionably easier.
Essentially, you need to add the ingredients and close the lid. Next, using the dial, select your desired preset. Then, press the start button. Finally, you just let the blender do its thing, and you get to relax.
By the way, your blender will not start until you correctly close the lid. This is an excellent safety feature to prevent hot liquids from splashing about.
You can also do a custom blending if the recipe you’re making is not in the automatic blend settings. Mainly, there are two custom blends—cold and hot.
Cold Blends & Hot Blends
You can set the blending speed with the cold blend to get your desired texture. Also, it will automatically stop after 3 minutes to prevent over-blending.
With the hot blend, you can adjust the time and temperature depending on your recipe. Blending speed is trickier, so I say this cooking blender can’t handle chunky hot soups.
On the flip side, cleanup is cumbersome. You can use the heated wash preset for the interior, but the outside isn’t so straightforward. Be careful not to make a mess, but I found the locking cap very effective. Starchy or oily recipes cooked in the Pampered Chef blender leave a residue that isn’t easily cleaned with the heated wash preset.
Because of the heating element, you must be careful that no water will enter the base. Luckily, if there are no spills or whatnot, then wiping the exterior should be a breeze.
*I still recommend using pot holders and other safety considerations when working with hot liquids.

Is Pampered Chef Blender worth it?
Ultimately, the “no warranty” is a major deal-breaker for the Pampered Chef Deluxe Cooking Blender. Besides, it’s simply too expensive compared to its competitors.
Therefore, I recommend the Instant Ace Plus Blender or the Ninja Foodi Blender. Both are still robust cooking blenders with better features for a more reasonable price.
