Similar air fryers like the Ninja Air Fryer Max XL or Cosori Pro II Air Fryer will undoubtedly get your money’s worth. Don’t get me wrong, this PowerXL Vortex 5 quart and 7 quart Air Fryer has unique features worth exploring.
So, if you choose to read more about this product, let’s first examine its pros and cons.

What can you cook in the 5 Quart Basket PowerXL Vortex Air Fryer Plus?
Using this kitchen appliance, you can also roast, bake, and dehydrate more than the air frying function. Here’s a complete list of the 10 presets.

Note: the preset Default isn’t included in the list above.
The PowerXL Vortex Air Fryer Plus hallmarks a Vortex Rapid Air Technology as a multifunction cooker. This contributes to the maximum crispiness of your chicken wings or French fries without the added oil. Now you can serve your family healthier food options.
Are you a fan of jerky or fruit leather preserves? Well, this appliance also has a dehydrate function. With a button press, you can effortlessly have homemade beef jerky or preserved dried mangoes right from your kitchen.
Now get this:
With a wide temperature range of 90ºF to 400ºF, you can definitely play around with the presets, temperature, and time. So, you can either concoct your own dish or follow a proven and tested recipe.
The good news?
The PowerXL Vortex Air Fryer Plus includes a recipe book that features a variety of dishes. Suppose you’re on a low-carb diet. In that case, you’ll love the Keto Chicken Tenders recipe or the Roasted Cauliflower recipe in the cookbook.
You can also impress your guests with the Shrimp Scampi or Ribeye Steak with Roasted Mini Peppers all cooked in your 5 or 7 Quart Basket PowerXL Vortex Air Fryer Plus.
Is PowerXL Vortex Air Fryer Plus easy to use?
Let’s get things underway.
The control panel of this air fryer has push buttons, and an LED display screen. The air fryer’s control panel will light up once you insert the basket in the main air fryer housing unit.
If you want to cook using a preset, simply press the corresponding button of your desired function. You’ll find the icons on the top or below each button.
Say, for example, you want to cook fries. Press the button below the French Fries icon. You will see the preset temperature of 400° F (204° C) and the time of 18 mins. If you’re happy with this setting, press the power button to start the cooking process. Easy-peasy, right? No guesswork is required.
Now get this:
You can easily adjust the time and temp to your liking. The Temperature control has two buttons: the + and – icons allow you to increase or decrease 5-degree increments at a time. Or, you can hold down the button to quickly adjust the temperature setting.
The Timer control has the same concept. The + and − buttons help you add or subtract cooking time at 1-minute intervals.
If that’s not enough, the PowerXL Vortex Air Fryer Plus has a shake indicator. The shake indicator will light up when the cooking process has reached the midway point. This allows you to shake or flip your food for crispy, evenly cooked results.
Here’s the hitch:
One drawback is the basket design. You see, the manufacturer warns not to tilt the basket and use tongs instead when removing food. This is to avoid the oil drippings collected on the bottom of the basket from spilling on your food.
If there was a separate basket to hold the food, you could have easily flipped that instead and streamlined your cooking process.
Is Power XL Vortex Air Fryer Plus easy to clean?
If you want your PowerXL Plus Air Fryer in tiptop shape, make sure that you thoroughly clean it after each use.
We’ve been there, dreading the cleaning part of the cooking tasks. You’re in luck! The Fry tray is dishwasher safe. So all you have to do is load it in the dishwasher, and you’re good to go.
However, let me warn you that the air fryer basket is not dishwasher safe. So, you have to roll up your sleeves and wash them by hand. You can use mild detergent and a nonabrasive sponge. Make sure to scrub gently as the nonstick coating can be easily scratched.
Additionally, you can keep your 7 Qt PowerXL Vortex Air Fryer looking brand new by wiping it with a moist cloth. On the other hand, the interior can be cleaned with a mild detergent and a nonabrasive sponge.
Pro Tip: The heating coil can be cleaned with a soft-bristled brush if needed.
