Cosori Air Fryers are one of the more popular brands of air fryers on Amazon. They’ve sold millions of units and their reviews on the platform are very positive. But there are a few that if you buy, you’ll be wasting money.

That’s why we’ve compiled this list of Cosori air fryer reviews to help you make a better buying decision.

One important note: we only cover pure air fryers in this post. There are combo devices that are air fryers/toaster ovens. Those are not covered.

Best Cosori Air Fryers

That answer depends on your needs. But if you were to ask us, “which Cosori air fryer is best?” our response would be one of the three units listed here:

The above are our three top picks. Keep reading for more information on other air fryers that may better fit your needs.

Smart Air Fryers

As of this writing, the “Smart” features by Cosori really separate the brand from other well-known brands like Ninja. While not every Cosori air fryer is smart-enabled, many are. No Cosori air fryer reviews article could be complete without an overview of the brand’s smart devices.

VeSync App

This is the coolest feature of the smart air fryers. In fact, Ninja, which is Cosori’s main competitor on Amazon, doesn’t yet have a smart-phone enabled air fryer.

Cosori’s compatibility with the VeSync app allows you to do the following:

  • Set cook time and cook temperature with your smartphone
  • Set multi-stage cook instructions (think defrost temp, then cook)
  • Look up and watch video recipes to show you how to make new dishes
  • Save recipes for easy reference

It goes without saying that you’ll need a smart phone to take advantage of the VeSync smartphone features.

Google Assistant & Amazon Alexa

Configure your air fryer, then send instructions to it using nothing but your voice. Now you can turn off the air fryer while you prepare the table!

COSORI Smart Air Fryers

“Pro” Air Fryers

COSORI’s air fryer lineup really revolved around it’s Pro line. The Pro line consists of 5 models.

And here is where it can get confusing. There are the older Pro versions as well as the newer Pro II versions. And both the Pro and Pro II models have “smart” versions. Then there is the smaller Pro version which is better for those with limited counter space.

Small Air Fryers

If your primary focus is to buy a small air fryer, then there are two COSORI models to choose from. The Pro LE model and the Small Smart model are compact enough for the smallest amount of kitchen countertop space. While they can’t cook for large families, they are perfect for one to two people.

Small COSORI Air Fryers

Full List of Cosori Air Fryers

Let’s take a closer look at each model to help you pick which one is right for you!

Budget Air Fryer
Cosori Air Fryer Retro 5.8QT
3.5

One of the most affordable, quality air friers you'll find on the market. It has a 3.7 quart version that cooks enough of a single item for about two people. The standard 5.8 quart model can cook enough of a single item for a small family. For example, it can cook enough french fries for two adults and a child or two.

One of the things we found in our review, and other owners agree, is that the device is very simple to clean.

The Bottom Line

It doesn't have the bells and whistles found on more expensive models, but it cooks the same way some of the more pricy models. And while it doesn't have one-touch presets, it does have suggested times and temperatures for commonly cooked items on top of the device. You can use these suggestions to set the time and temperature dials on the front of the fryer.

Pros:
  • Very affordable air fryer
  • Takes up about 1 square foot of counter space
  • Dishwasher safe & cleans easily
  • 2 size options
Cons:
  • Not smartphone or Alexa/Google Assist compatible
  • May not be big enough for large families
  • Doesn't have the one-touch presets of newer models
  • Only cooks a single dish at a time

Cosori Pro Air Fryer Max XL, 5.8QT
$154.62

We do not recommend this model! For a little more money, you can get an upgraded version of this model. Spring for that instead of this one.

The Pro Model and Pro Model XL are very similar to the less expensive original (Retro) model. The actual cooking tech is almost exactly the same. The only difference between this model and the original is that it has a slightly lower warming temperature: 170° vs 180°.

Just like the original version, the 5.8 qt cooks about 15 chicken wings comfortably.

For a few more dollars, you get an air fryer with easier to use touch controls, and a larger cookbook. If these are important features for you, consider this model vs the original. If not, save a few dollars and buy the original.

Cons:
  • You can get the Pro II for the same price or slightly more. Buy that model instead of this one.

Note: We DO NOT recommend you buy the 5.8 qt model. You can spend just $10 more and get the much improved Pro II version (see below). Also, many times the Pro II will be on sale and you can get it for the same price as the 5.8 qt Pro I version.

Great Buy
Cosori Pro II Air Fryer Max XL, 5.8QT
$117.99

The Pro II has all the improvements of the Pro I, plus: Custom Presets, Custom shake reminder, and Improved tech which reduces cook time.

It's cooking tech has been improved, for one. This allows you to cut your cooking time on most meals by 20%. If you have to cook chicken wings and then fries using the same air fryer, this can be a big deal!

The other major improvement is to the presets. Unlike the Pro I version, each preset is customizable. So if you always add time to your vegetable preset, now you can customize that preset to add that time automatically.

The Bottom Line

The Pro II model features good improvements over the Pro I version but only at an marginal increase in cost.

Pros:
  • Shorter cook times vs to the Original and Pro I models
  • Highly rated touch controls
  • 11 customizable recipe preset controls
  • Dishwasher safe & cleans easily
Cons:
  • Not smartphone or Alexa/Google Assist compatible
  • May not be big enough for large families

The Pro Smart has all the improvements of the Pro I, plus:

  • Access to 800+ online recipes
  • Works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assist

The Pro Smart Air Fryer is almost exactly like the Pro I model. The improvement with this model is that it can be controlled remotely via an app or Amazon Alexa/Google Assist.

Other than that, it contains the same cooking elements, touch screen, and customizable presets that the Pro I contains.

The Bottom Line:

Don't buy this one. Instead, if you want a "smart" air fryer, opt for the Pro II Smart Air Fryer instead. It has slightly improved cooking tech for roughly the same price.

Quietest COSORI Air Fryer
Cosori Pro LE Air Fryer, 5 QT
$99.99

The Pro LE edition is very similar to other Cosori air fryers at the $99 price-point. It utilizes the same cooking tech found in other $99 models. But it is slightly smaller. It's temperature range is 170°-450°F.

Its small size allows it to be a bit more compact that similarly-priced models. So if space on your countertop is at a premium, this may well be the air fryer for you.

One thing it has that other air fryers don’t is what Cosori calls Air Whisper Technology. That’s a fancy way of saying they’ve redesigned the air intake and outflow to be a quieter than other models. When in use, the air fryer clocks in at 55 decibels. That is about the same loudness as a modest rain shower.

The Pro LE is not compatible with your smartphone. Nor is it compatible with Alexa or Google Assist. You can get that feature on a different Cosori model for the same price as this one. But if that isn’t important to you, it won’t matter.

The Bottom Line

You can get larger air fryers for the same price. But if you want a decent-sized air fryer and only have so much counter space, give the Pro LE Air Fryer a look. As a bonus, it's an extremely quiet unit.

Pros:
  • Quieter than other models
  • Smaller, more compact design
  • Attractive design. Looks great on a countertop
  • 9 preset cooking functions
  • Cooks up to 450°F
  • Dishwasher safe & cleans easily
Cons:
  • Not as large as other models at same price point
  • Not compatible with smart phone
  • Not compatible with Amazon Alexa/Google Assistant

As added peace of mind, this device is backed by COSORI with a 2 year warranty.

The Bottom Line:

The Lite Smart Air Fryer was given the distinction of being the Best Air Fryer for College Students.

Cosori Premium Stainless Steel Air Fryer, 5.8 QT
$129.99 $86.90

The Premium Stainless Steel model is the only stainless steel model in the COSORI line up.

The 5.8 quart size is similar in size to many COSORI models and has a similar price point. But unlike most other models, it comes with the skewer and rack accessories. So no need to spend additional money on those accessories.

This is an older model air fryer. Its temperature range is 170°-400°F. But its heat circulation isn't as advanced as in newer models.

The presets are a bit clunky, too. Instead of just tapping a preset and being done with it, you can to tap the Menu button to cycle through the presets. You don’t see this on the newer Pro II models.

The Bottom Line

This is an older unit with clunky controls. It isn't compatible with your smart phone. But if you like the idea of having a stainless steel fryer, this may be the model for you. It also includes skewer and rack accessories not found in other COSORI units.

Pros:
  • Skewer & rack accessories included
  • Stainless steel design
  • 9 presets
  • Dishwasher safe & cleans easily
Cons:
  • Presets are clunky to use
  • Can’t cook as hot as some other models
  • Heating & air circulation tech is slightly dated in this older model

Fastest Cooking COSORI Air Fryer
Cosori Dual Blaze 6.8-Quart Air Fryer
$179.99

The dual heating elements also means you don’t have to shake or flip your food while it cooks. It doesn’t have the temperature range that some of the other units have. The lowest it goes is 175°F while the Smart 7-quart model goes down to 170°. The highest temperature it reaches is 400° while a few other units will reach up to 450°.

Like almost all of the COSORI air fryers, this unit comes with several presets to take the guesswork out of cooking. And because you don’t have to preheat, you can just press and button and immediately pop in your food.

You can utilize an app to control the unit. The app also gives you access to an growing library of video recipes. The Dual Blaze is also compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assist.

The Bottom Line
