The AMZCHEF Blender is a powerful countertop blender from a relatively new player in the kitchen equipment space. But does it rival the likes of Ninja, Vitamix, and Blendtec? I recently reviewed an AMZCHEF juicer, so I was excited to put the AMZCHEF ZM5003 to the test for the purposes of writing this review.
AMZCHEF is a newer manufacturer of kitchen appliances and blenders. The ZM5003 Blender is one of the brand’s flagship products.
The multitude of blenders on the market can overwhelm anyone. So when I review a product, I try to outline the pros, cons, and specifications to help you make an informed decision.
Let’s get started!
While not the most powerful blender on the market, the ZM5003 is best for someone looking for a cost-effective blender capable of making smoothies, shakes, and blending soups. The unit has enough features to compete with some of the more established brands while costing less.

What can you make with the AMZCHEF Blender?
Sporting an 1,800-watt motor and 26,000 RPM, the AMZCHEF blender is powerful enough for most everyday uses. The blending possibilities are unlimited. I recommend the ZM5003 model for the following:
The ZM5003 comes with a 1.85 Liter container that is vented. The vented pitcher can be used for blending warm foods. The unit will not heat food but is perfect for preparing soups, sauces, and other warm liquids.
For colder foods, the 600ml portable smoothie bottle is ideal. I prepared a smoothie in the bottle and found it perfect for a single serving of a fresh smoothie. The ZM500 blender is ideal for single-serve shakes and smoothies on the go.
Unlike other brands, the AMZCHEF Blender does not offer attachments for uses other than blending. If you are looking for a more multi-functional blender, a Vitamix or Blendtec blender may be a better option.
I appreciate that the unit comes with a cleaning brush. It makes cleaning a breeze! A cookbook and easy-to-understand manual are included with the ZM5003 as well.
Is the AMZCHEF Blender Easy to Use?
The ZM5003 is incredibly easy to use. The touchscreen and pre-programmed settings make using the unit a breeze. I unboxed and set the ZM5003 up in less than two minutes.
Once the 1.85-liter pitcher is firmly placed in the base, press the Power button on the unit and select the pre-programmed setting. The pre-programmed options range from 1:30 to 2:45, depending on the setting.
The lid to the pitcher fit snugly and made a tight seal. The handle is rubberized to prevent any spills or accidents. The opening for a tamper is very useful in preventing clogging and clumping.
All the components of the ZM5003 are dishwasher safe except the base. The pitcher, bottle, and blending base can all be easily cleaned with the included brush and warm soapy water.
Personally, I always hand-wash my blender components when possible. Even when things are labelled dishwasher safe I just find they last longer when they are hand washed. Excessive cleaning in a dishwasher tends to weaken plastic over time.

I conducted two tests on the ZM5003; putting it to the test for its ice-crushing ability and smoothie-making ability.
Ice Crushing Test
The ZM5003 AMZCHEF blender had more than enough power, with a 1,800-watt motor to pulverize ice. The test was conducted using the “Ice Crush” pre-programmed setting on the unit. The unit did not struggle at all to crush ice.
The ice was pulverized into a snow-like mix with very few ice chunks remaining. But I felt that the entire 2:00 minutes of the setting were more than what was needed to crush the ice. The Ice Crush cycle can be quickly interrupted by pressing the power button on the unit.
Crushing ice is somewhat tricky. As the ice is crushed, it tends to clump together. The tamper came in handy as I used it to manipulate the ice chunks for more even blend. I’ve found that with most blenders, adding a bit of water to the ice alleviates clumping.
Chocolate Banana Protein Shake
I then tested the ZM5003’s blender cup by making our chocolate banana protein. The ZM5003 had plenty of power to craft the smoothie.
I used the “Smoothies” setting to make the beverage. The unit ran for approximately 2:00 minutes. The result was an evenly blended smoothie with no ice chunks at all.
I pre-measured all the ingredients in the cup the night before blending. The ability to pre-make smoothies for fast and easy blending later is a major benefit of this unit!
The single-serve smoothie cup made the entire process easy and hassle-free. Clean-up was isolated to the cup and blender top. Cleaning the enormous 1.85L pitcher for a single serving size of smoothie was no hassle.
