I have known Tribest Life for its fantastic line of triturating juice extractors. So my standards was a little high with the Tribest Solostar 4 Masticating Juicer. And guess what, it did not disappoint.
I find the Solo Star 4 a worthy contender in the masticating juicer arena. It rivals the best of Omega or any other horizontal slow juicer in that matter.
Let us begin by pitting it against the undisputed Omega J8006. In terms of juicing ability, Tribest Solo Star 4 leads this department. It has more juice extraction power while requiring 10% less electricity.
For the record, the Solo Star 4 is officially the slowest horizontal masticating juicer and the most power efficient. Over time this will save you more money. It goes easy on your electric bill, and you’ll also get more juice yield with it.
What’s unique with this electric juice maker, or the Solo Star line up rather, is you can convert it into a manual juice extractor with the Zstar conversion kit. It’s an excellent tool for juicing wheatgrass as you have more fine-grained control over the pressure it applies.
- Slowest horizontal masticating juicer in the market—more juice extraction power

- Quiet operation
- Sleek and compact design
- Extended warranty coverage—15 years

- Masticating juicers are typically slow
- Narrow feeding chute requires extra preparation time making your juicing process even slower
Features & Product Details
Is it Easy to Use?
Have you used a masticating juice extractor before? If you do, then the Tribest Solo Star 4 is pretty much the same. You just need to assemble a total of five parts to get it working, this includes the motor base. Then, you just need to set up the food pusher, juice collector, sieve, and pulp container in its respective places.
That is all it takes to get those juices flowing. It’s very straightforward to assemble and use.
Is it Easy to Clean?
Sadly, the Tribest Solostar 4 juicer is not compatible with your dishwasher, so you’ll have to wash it manually. If you want to lessen that burden, it’s advisable to clean your juicer right away after every use. This will prevent unnecessary residue build up.
The juicing screen is almost always the most challenging part to clean up. It’s the best place for fibers to get stuck. Use your complimentary cleaning brush to deal with this part.
All I have is praises in terms of Solo Star’s juice quality. Since its RPM was reduced further (57 RPM) it’s also more efficient in comparison to other horizontal slow juicers in the market. It doesn’t just rival the top juicers in this class, it raised the bar a little higher.
As I always point out, juice extracted from slow juicers like this product is far more superior. Less oxidation happens in a low RPM juicing chamber, retaining more nutrients in the process. This is the reason behind the longer shelf life of a cold-pressed juice.
If you’re familiar with Omega juicers, non-juicing functions come standard with each of their horizontal juice extractors. Luckily, the Solostar 4 also have that added convenience.
By swapping the juicing strainer with the homogenizing screen, you can turn your juicer into a food processing powerhouse. You can make rice cakes with it, grind tomato, garlic, coffee beans, etc., make breadsticks, pasta noodles, or tofu.
What Kinds of Produce Can it Juice?
This juice press can handle all types of fruits and vegetables—dense produce, citruses, soft fruits, and leafy greens. You can also make soy and almond milk out of this multi-functional machine.
Dense and fibrous produce like cucumber, pear, cilantro, asparagus, fennel, beets, apple, watermelon, pumpkin, bitter gourd, pineapple, cauliflower, turmeric, celery, pepper, sweet potato, broccoli, yakon, carrots, ginger, garlic is a perfect match for this masticating juicer.
It can also go well with citruses such as grapefruit, oranges, lime, tangerine, lemons, and mandarin.
This Tribest Life Solo Star 4 juicer prides itself as an efficient juice extractor for leafy greens. Basil, wheatgrass, peppermint, collard greens, parsley, pine tree needles, moringa, beet greens, cabbage, spinach, lettuce, dandelion greens, brussels sprout, kale, and spring onion don’t stand a chance against it.
Using the homogenizing screen, you can puree soft fruits such as berries, peach, kiwi fruit, avocado, grapes, mango, avocado, and papaya with this masticating juicer.
In addition, following the right procedure, you can also make non-dairy milk alternatives out of presoaked soybeans or almond nuts. So basically, the sky is the limit.
