The Vitamix 7500 Professional Blender is part of the brand’s legacy products. It’s identical to the Explorian E320 besides the beveled control panel and a longer cord.
In terms of pricing, the 7500 blender is a little bit expensive in spite of being a 7-year-old product.
Don’t get me wrong, Vitamix’s legacy blenders are still as capable as its newer models. In fact, Vitamix 7500 has a more powerful 2.2 HP motor giving it an edge over newer products with just 2.0 peak horsepower.
Just so you know, only 2.2 HP blenders are compatible with Vitamix’s 64-ounce low-profile container. It turns out that a wider blade requires more torque to operate efficiently.
So now, let’s discuss its pros and cons.
- Classic design
- More powerful motor
- 10 variable speed
- Pulse control
- 64-ounce low profile container, included
- Vented lid
- Lid plug comes with 2oz markings
- Durable Stainless steel blade
- Less noisy than the Explorian Series
- Longer cord
- 7-year warranty
- Pricier than newer products
- Food particles can get trapped in between the switches
- Included container is not dishwasher safe
- No preset for self-cleaning
- No smart features
Vitamix 7500 Features
With a 2.2 HP motor, Vitamix 7500 isn’t your average smoothie maker. It’s an indispensable kitchen tool that can cater to a variety of uses.
Here’s a partial list of what it’s capable of:
*This will work best with the Dry Grains attachment.
What makes Vitamix blenders so versatile is its trademark 10-speed settings and pulse control.
The good news?
Vitamix 7500 is compatible with a larger low profile container. It’s perfect for preparing multiple recipe servings for a household of four or more.
And to top it all off, you can add more functions to your Vitamix machine by getting an optional attachment, which I’ll show you in the accessories section.
Is it easy to use though?
Ease of Use
Just like any other classic blender from the brand, Vitamix 7500 Professional Series only have a few buttons to work with—an on/off lever, pulse switch, and the 10-speed dial.
With very few options, operating it is a piece of cake.
It also comes with a more convenient low-profile container that is easier to reach and surprisingly more efficient.
With regards to maintenance, unfortunately, this product is not dishwasher safe. You’ll have to wash it manually, but it’s only going to take you 2-3 minutes.
If you’re looking for something that is dishwasher friendly, check out the Ascent Series.
Vitamix 7500 Accessories
Despite being an old model, Vitamix 7500 Professional Series is compatible with other low profile containers and classic accessories.
If you already have a Vitamix 7500, an upgrade would be unnecessary. Just get any of these attachments, and your machine will be good as new.
By the way, these accessories are all BPA-free.
Low Profile 64 oz Container (Included)
Having a large container is quite convenient if you need to make multiple servings of smoothies in one go. Or if you need to prepare a large batch of hot soup constantly.
Low Profile 48 oz Container
Now, if you need a backup jar, say if you need to work on different recipes, this 48-ounce low profile container would be a perfect choice. It will save you from the hassle of washing your container in between uses.
Classic 64 oz Container
I don’t really recommend this narrow container, but I won’t stop you if you have any valid reason to get it. The thing is, newer low-profile containers are more efficient. The wider base plus the reverse vortex mechanism prevents the ingredients from aggregating at the center for a more consistent blend.
48 oz Stainless Steel Container
If you’re a perfectionist, getting this stainless steel pitcher will preserve your ingredients’ natural flavors. It’s non-reactive, stain, and odor resistant. With a heavy-duty build, it’s also the advisable container for processing tough and hot items.
Aer Disc Container
Go the extra mile with your Vitamix 7500 plus the Aer Disc Container. It’s an amazing product from the brand that is going to give you four more culinary techniques. You can emulsify ingredients, whip cream, huddle drinks, and foam milk with it.
32 oz Container
This small container is the best option if you only need to prepare at least two to three servings of smoothies. Keep the bulky jar in your cupboard and let this 32 oz pitcher do the work. Smaller would also mean lesser surface area to wash.
32 oz Dry Grains Container
If you’re regularly working with flour, how about make it from scratch the next time? I bet there’s a huge difference between a freshly ground wheat and a store-bought flour. You can put it to the test with this 32-ounce dry grains attachment.

Even though Vitamix 7500 has been around for several years, it still has the qualities of a heavy-duty Vitamix blender. It’s highly recommended to those looking for a classic Vitamix blender with a powerful motor.
On the other hand, if you want something newer from the brand, it shares the same image and likeness with the Explorian E320.
