Vitamix Ascent Series A2300 Features
What can you make with Vitamix A2300?
Just because the A2300 is the cheapest blender in the Ascent family does not mean that you must sacrifice quality. The blending power and blend quality of most of the Ascent family of blenders are remarkably similar. The main differentiator between the Ascent series models is the number of features, displays, and programming.
Below is a small sampling of the recipes that one can make with Vitamix A2300. You will notice that there is not a lot that this powerful and affordable professional-grade blender can do:
*This will work best with the Dry Grains attachment.
If you are amazed by the variety of foods that can be made with the Ascent 2300, you will be excited to find out that thousands of other recipes can also be blended in the unit. That list is just the tip of the iceberg. This blender is exceptionally versatile, so it can do so much more. Especially with the added technology and extra accessories? You’re in for a treat!
Is Vitamix A2300 easy to use?
Vitamix blenders have reputation on being professional-grade blenders that are extremely easy to use. The A2300 is no exception. The control panel of the Ascent 2300 is elegant and straightforward to understand. Selecting blend speed is effortless with the basic 1-10 dial. The pulse button is well-made and easily toggled.
Is the Vitamix A2300 Easy to Clean?
The A2300 is amazingly easy to clean. The easiest way to clean the pitcher is to add a little warm water and dish soap and then run the unit for 30-45 seconds. The vigorous motion of the blades will warm the water and clean every corner of the pitcher. Simply rinse out the soap and food after cleaning.
Cleaning is a breeze
The Vitamix A2300’s pitcher and components are dishwasher safe. Wash the pitcher, top, and tamper on the dishwasher’s top rack if self-cleaning is impossible. JuicingJournal always recommends hand washing when possible. Long-term dishwasher use can weaken plastic and rubber over time.
The motor base of the A2300 is NOT dishwasher safe. The base should never be submerged or placed in the dishwasher. Simply wipe the motor base with a damp cloth to clean any messes.
Technology
Don’t let the lack of buttons and knobs fool you. Vitamix is one of the most advanced blenders on the market. The A2300 comes with a helpful digital timer and is app-enabled.
Ascent A2300 Digital Timer
One of the best features of the A2300 is the digital timer. The digital clock is what sets the A2300 apart from its lesser advanced peers. If you’ve spent a lot of time in the kitchen, you do know that “time” is vital with most recipes. The digital timer on the A2300 is a lifesaver when things get hectic in the kitchen around mealtime.
Unlike the A3300 and A3500, the timer isn’t programmable, as it only counts up. It is still beneficial because you can tell how long you’ve been blending. Thanks to self-detect technology, it will automatically stop after reaching the maximum blend time based on the container.
The Vitamix A2300 and the Perfect Blend App
The Vitamix A2300 is a Bluetooth-capable blender. While having Bluetooth connectivity for your blender may sound silly, it is the feature that propels the Ascent line to the next level. The Vitamix Perfect Blend App will send pre-programmed blending instructions to the A2300. The unit will then perfectly mix the ingredients according to the Smart Container size on the unit.
The Vitamix Perfect Blend app is available for IOS and Android devices. The Ascent line of blenders easily pairs with most Bluetooth-capable devices. The app contains hundreds of recipe ideas and pre-programmed blending plans for delicious treats.
You can actually tap into the A2500’s full capabilities with just the Vitamix A2300. Just “almost” because there are still features that are only exclusive to the A2500. How, exactly? Using the Perfect Blend App.
Whether or not your blender has presets, you can have 17 pre-programmed settings thanks to their app. Pretty neat, right? On the flip side, connecting to the app takes longer than just turning the dial (A2500) or tapping the preset recipe (A3500).

Don’t take my word for it, watch this video:
The Vitamix A2300 is the cheapest of all the Ascent Series blenders. It features a combination of traditional design and smart technology. For instance, it highlights a more conventional 10-speed dial, a pulse switch, and a start/stop switch. Then, modern wireless connectivity enables 17 walkaway blend settings for maximum convenience. The A2300 is a perfect blend of affordability, performance, and ease!
Vitamix A2300 Accessories
To maximize the capability of your Vitamix A2300, take a look at the host of accessories the unit can work with. With the self-detect technology, you don’t have to worry about too much power for a small container. It will automatically detect the container and set the maximum blend time.

This low-profile self-detect 64-ounce (1.89 L) jar will fit most countertops easily. The 64oz container is ideal for large crowds and families as it can make up to 12 servings of smoothies, frozen desserts, and soups.
If you’re usually the host for gatherings, having an extra container is a good idea. Plus, when you’re only making a smaller batch, this self-detect 48-ounce (1.4 L) jar is more practical than using the big one. The 48oz container is perfect as a backup container or for smaller gatherings or families.
Apart from regular containers, there is also a 48-ounce (1.4 L) self-detect dry container. Why so many? You can also use the standard jar, but if you’re going to use your Vitamix A2300 for dry ingredients more often, you should definitely get this. Equipped with a special blade, it prevents the ingredients from cramming, resulting in a delicate and consistent texture.
The stainless-steel container is geared towards professionals. The stainless-steel container helps to retain the vivid flavors of the ingredients in your recipes. It’s resistant to stains and odors, it’s non-reactive, and most importantly, it’s durable.
The 64-ounce (1.89 L) container that comes standard with the A2300 will not work for small recipes. For example, if you’re making a sauce, you need at least 2 cups worth of constituents. That’s where this 8-ounce (240 mL) blending bowl comes in. The tiny but mighty 8oz blender bowl is worth the extra money!
When you’re only making single-serve smoothies, having a personal cup is convenient. You can have your personal cup with the Vitamix blending cup starter kit. It requires less clean up and is easy to carry around. The 20oz blending cup is perfect for pre or post-workout smoothies!
Go beyond the Explorian blending capabilities with this Vitamix Aer Disc Container. You can extract juice, emulsify sauces, spreads, dips, dressings, foam drinks, or whip cream with this attachment. Adding the Aer Disc container to the E310, E320, or A2300 turns the blender into a blender / mixer hybrid.
Unlock a whole new level for your blender with Vitamix Smart Scale. Connect this with your app, which will guide you on how many ingredients you should put in. The Smart Scale app is perfect for those who measure macros in their diet.
