The Vitamix E310 Explorian Series (VM0197) is more like a refresh on the brand’s line of classic blenders. It’s fully compatible with Vitamix’s legacy containers.
Another reason to get the Explorian E310 is that it’s the cheapest blender with Vitamix’s quality seal.
Award: #2 Best Vitamix Blender
On the downside, it doesn’t come with any smart features like the Vitamix Ascent, but it’s on par in terms of functionality.
I’ll tell you what it can do in a bit.
- Classic design
- Cheaper than other Vitamix blenders
- Powerful motor
- 10-speed for your desired texture with pulse switch
- Quick and easy cleaning
- 48-ounce (1.4 L) container for a medium batch
- A vented lid and lid plug to help reach proper hot temperatures
- Durable Stainless steel blade
- Louder than most Vitamix blenders
- 5-year warranty compared to the 10-year warranty of ascent series
- If you get the personal cup attachment, there’s an extra adapter you’d need (a cup within a cup). It may use up more space than necessary.
- The wider body, 64 oz (1.89 L) low profile container won’t work with this blender
- Not dishwasher safe
Vitamix Explorian Series E310 Features
What can I make with Vitamix E310?
The Vitamix VM0197 is a high-power blender that can do a lot.
Here’s what it’s capable of:
*This will work best with the Dry Grains attachment.
Is it easy to use?
Compared to blenders with more than 10 buttons, this blender is definitely easy to use. With only two switches and a dial, it isn’t so complicated. Simplicity at its best, I’d say.
This Vitamix is most ideal for a couple or an individual for its smaller size. If you’re planning on using it for a considerable number of people, it may be a little frustrating.
You can blend a couple of batches, but that is going to be time-consuming.
If you’re going to use it for a bigger crowd, you have two choices:
- You can upgrade to a 64 oz (1.89 L) classic container (more expensive option); or
- Get its sibling, the Vitamix E320.
The Vitamix E320 is a bit more pricey than E310, but it comes with a more enormous container (and stronger motor) if that’s your type. In fact, you’ll save more than buying an extra 64 oz (1.89 L) container.
Moreover, the E310 won’t work with the low-profile version, and the 64 oz (1.89 L) classic is taller. So, there’s a chance it might not fit under your kitchen cabinet.
Now: the time for enjoying your meal should be a lot more than the cleanup, right?
For that matter, here’s something you’re going to love:
This machine is effortless to clean. You don’t even have to disassemble it. Just fill it with warm water, add a drop of soap, run the machine for 30-60 seconds, and rinse.
And you’re done! Pretty “neat,” am I right?
See it in action
Here’s a quick product demo video of Vitamix Explorian E310.
Vitamix E310 is the most budget-friendly choice for a high-performance Vitamix blender. With a 1500-watt motor (2.0 horsepower), it is powerful enough to grind flour into a fine consistency. Moreover, the Vitamix Explorian has a 10-speed dial and pulse lever to effortlessly achieve various textures.
Vitamix E310 Accessories
Suppose you want to maximize Vitamix E310 Explorian Blender’s full capabilities. In that case, you might want to pair it with any of these containers and accessories.
By the way, all of these containers are BPA-free.
Low Profile 48 oz (1.4 L) Container – Included
Model # 56085
This low-profile 48-ounce (1.4 L) container comes with your E310 blender. It’s perfect for small to medium batches of smoothies or any recipe in particular. With its more compact design, it will easily fit under kitchen cabinets.
Classic 64 oz (1.89 L) Container
Model # 15856
This classic container is definitely a blast from the past. The only issue I find with this traditional design is that it’s tall. But if it can fit under your kitchen cabinet, why not?
48 oz (1.4 L) Stainless Steel Container
Model # 067891
This product is geared towards professionals. Suppose you want to retain all the exciting flavors of your ingredients. In that case, you’ll be needing this stainless steel container for your Vitamix E310. It’s resistant to stains and odors, it’s non-reactive, and most importantly, it’s durable.
Aer Disc Container
Model # 065421
Go beyond the Explorian blending capabilities with this Vitamix Aer Disc Container. You can (better) extract juice, emulsify sauces, spreads, dips, dressings, foam drinks, or whip cream with this attachment. Let’s say it may replace your mixer.
32 oz (946 mL) Container
Model # 15842
If you’re only preparing for 2 people or yourself, this 32-ounce (946 mL) container is super ideal. It doesn’t take a lot of space, and it’ll be faster to clean than a more significant container.
32 oz (946 mL) Dry Grains Container
Model # 56090
If you plan to make flour from scratch more often, you’d need to get a 32-ounce (946 mL) dry grains pitcher for your Vitamix Explorian E310 blender. It has specially designed blades that create a reverse vortex for a finer grind.
*Please note that the smart detect containers (for Vitamix Ascent) will not work with Explorian Series blenders.*Product Images and Video Courtesy of Vitamix
