The Vitamix Immersion Blender is new to the game, but I salute the brand for doing justice to this product. Though I found some points that it should improve on, it’s a solid contender in the corded stick blender market.
Hopefully, they’ll follow it up with an even better product, or perhaps cordless version this year.
What makes it a good option is its commercial-grade stainless build. It’s designed for heavy usage as it comes with a 3-year product guarantee. For the record, a year-long warranty is relatively standard among competing brands. That is on top of a powerful motor.
Another noteworthy feature it has is it’s one of those handheld blenders that you can operate singlehandedly. You’ll also get the benefit of five-speed levels.
Now, let’s dive into its pros and cons.
- Comfortable and modern looking design
- Powerful 625-watt Motor
- 5 variable speed settings with indicator
- Detachable shaft for easy cleaning
- 5 feet cord for more freedom
- Plastic coated bell guard to prevent scratches on your favorite containers
- 3-year warranty
- For an immersion blender, it’s quite expensive
- Not dishwasher safe
Vitamix Immersion Blender Features
How does Vitamix Hand Blender perform?
With its powerful motor, the Vitamix Stick Blender can handle tough ingredients easier and faster than regular models. It can take on thick blends like frozen desserts or, let’s say, nut butter.
It’s not in the same league as a full-sized Vitamix blender. Nonetheless, it’s off the charts for its weight division. Its five-speed levels can cater to a broader range of produce, something that cheaper ones can’t handle.
It also boasts a specially designed pan guard profile that optimizes the ingredients’ flow for a silky smooth consistency.
Is Vitamix Immersion Blender easy to use?
In terms of usability, the Vitamix Hand Blender is somewhere in the middle. You can operate it singlehandedly. However, the positioning of the power and speed button is a little bit awkward. It’s like holding a chord position with your guitar.
I believe that’s something the brand should improve when they release a cordless version of this heavy-duty stick blender.
Other than that, I have no complaints against this product.
It’s worth noting that it comes with a convenient speed indicator, as pictured above. Aside from its aesthetic appeal, it serves a functional purpose. When you have a variable speed blender, it helps to know what speed level you are.
By the way, after you reach level 5, it will go back to level 1.
Pro Tip: It’s ideal to start at lower speeds to prevent splashes from hot items.
Another safety feature it has is the bell guard. Aside from housing the four-pronged blades, it also protects your vessel from getting scratched.
Something Extra: It’s quiet for a powerful machine.
In terms of maintenance, the 8″ detachable wand is not dishwasher safe. Anyhow, it will just take a minute to clean up. Simply fill a small container with warm water and a drop of dishwashing soap. Then, run your stick blender for 15-30 seconds in it. Give it a quick rinse, and you’re done.
