Juicing Benefits

The benefits of drinking fresh, homemade juice, including specific fruits and vegetables that are especially healthy when eaten fresh, rather than the packaged juice

On average, 9 out of 10 people do not injest their daily amount of recommended fruits and vegetables. It is recommended that we eat 3 to 5 servings of vegetables per day! That is a LOT of vegetables. Products like V8 juice and many others have become popular to try and improve the intake of vegetables. However, vegetable juices really do not solve the problem. Almost all of them use processed juices, thus eliminating the benefits of the vegetables. Our bodies need raw or fresh vegetables. Most people are beginning to realize, that in order to get optimum health and avoid common illnesses, diseases and/or disorders, they must improve their diet drastically. V8 juice may provide a convenient way to add essential fruits and vegetables to your diet, but it just is not enough. Another big question is: ” Why spend money on products filled with unhealthy preservatives when you can juice your own fresh fruits and vegetables at home and modify your juicing recipes to match your personal preferences and tastes?”

The number of benefits that come from juicing your own fresh fruits and vegetables are immeasurable! .Fresh fruits and vegetables contain all the essential vitamins, minerals, and phytonutrients that are vital to curing or fighting many common illnesses, diseases and disorders. Did you know that cabbage juice is instrumental in treating peptic ulcers? And keracyanin, which is pigment found in cherries, can help diminish gout attacks and increases the movement in fingers and toes. Citrus fruits are also known to play a major role in treating certain afflictions. It has been a known fact for many years that cranberry juice helps prevent and eliminate urinary tract infections. It may also help prevent kidney stones. Another juice, grape juice, is also widely known to help reduce the risk of atherosclerosis. Grape juice contains a compound called trans-resveratol. You can help prevent a heart attack by taking an aspirin every day or you can drink at least three glasses of grape juice. Both are known to help prevent a heart attack. The pit of the grape contains powerful antioxidants called proanthocyanidins, which are considered even more potent than vitamin C or vitamin E. Juicing grapes is very beneficial because you can juice the entire grape, skin, seeds and all!

Many people are still confused about the difference between bottled juices and juicing your own fruits and vegetables. When you juice fresh fruits and vegetables, you can use the entire fruit and vegetable with a few exceptions. Bottled juices and other packaged juices contain fruit concentrates which are not the same as whole fruit juices. Bottled juices also must be pasteurized to eliminate the growth of various unhealthy organisms and many sources of bacteria. When the juices are pasteurized, or boiled, the process destroys most all of the natural vitamins, minerals, enzymes, and phytonutrients. When all of these are eliminated from the juice, there is very little nutritional value left! However, when you juice your own fresh fruits and vegetables, you have the ability to obtain all of these essential vitamins, minerals, enzymes, phytonutrients, and anti-oxidants. Your body can absorb all of these within 20 minutes of drinking your own concoction.

Juicing is also very fast, efficient, and convenient. You just grab a few handfuls of fresh fruits and vegetables, throw them in your juicer, skins, seeds, and all, and you can have a fresh glass of homemade juice in minutes! Just providing your body with even one glass of fresh juice everyday, will jumpstart your energy, boost your immune system and improve your health in ways that you cannot even imagine.
