The sixth generation model from Omega, the Omega NC900 HDC Nutrition System, is their latest horizontal masticating juicer. This sleekly designed juicer boast a chrome finish and weighs 13 pounds and has a handle for ease of transport around the kitchen. The parts are BPA-free. It was designed with a larger, oval-shaped feed chute, unlike previous horizontal masticating models. The opening measures 1.5 x 2 inches in diameter. It comes equipped with an adjustable drum cap that has five pressure settings. This improvement increases the efficiency of the juice extraction process. You can operate it while everyone is still asleep in the morning because even though the motor is the equivalent of a two horsepower motor, it is relatively quiet. It also only uses 150 watts and 120 volts of power.
The Ultem auger is eight times stronger than many alternatives on the market thanks to being constructed of Ultem plastic. Is it Easy to Use?
The Omega NC900 HDC Nutrition System is simple to assemble and operate. Since the feed chute is 2 x 1.5 inches, you can put larger pieces of produce down the chute. Items like apples will still need to be cut into smaller portions, but most items will fit with ease. Items such as celery should also be chopped into small pieces to prevent the fibrous stalks from wrapping around the auger. Prepare your produce before you begin juicing so you can complete the process without stopping. Allow the machine to work consistently, without trying to force the produce down the chute and into the auger to avoid jamming the machine. If you want to juice soft produce, alternate it with a hard, fibrous item that will help it through. A bonus for this juicer is the drum cap, which allows you to adjust the tension on the produce. Is it Easy to Clean?
