The Rolls-Royce of juicing welcomes a new addition to the family—the all new Super Angel Plus. It’s more affordable and it brings back the manual reverse button originally found in Super Angel 5500.
There had been a lot of complaints regarding the anti-jamming system found in the newer models which include Super Angel Pro, Deluxe, and Premium Deluxe. Instead of making things easier, the automatic reverse takes a bit of time and it’s not helping at all. Some users who bought the newer models even suggested to buy the old model to get the manual reverse function.
Nothing much has changed with the features since Super Angel 5500. Super Angel Plus still offer an all stainless steel construction which is the only 100% BPA free juicer you’ll find in the market. Plus you’ll get all the bells and whistles introduced in the 2015 models such as FDA approved stainless steel varieties used in the augers and extracting housing, improved control panel, cooling systems, safety sensors, and further reinforced motor and gear box to comply with US electrical standards.

- Narrow feeding chute requires you to chop your fruits and veggies making
- At 82 RPM it’s literally a very slow juicer, don’t buy it if you’re not willing to juice for longer periods
- The O-ring used in the screen housing is not dishwasher safe, you need to wash it manually

Is it Easy to Use?
Operating a triturating juicer is a little bit complicated than centrifugal and cold pres juicers. As far as twin gear juicers are concerned, Super Angel is more user friendly than other brands. It doesn’t offer an optional attachment for making noodles and bread sticks accounting for lesser parts and fewer buttons to press. It’s also worth mentioning that this type of juicer have a small feeding chute, so you’ll have to chop your produce with specific lengths and sizes for it to fit a 1.5 inch opening. The manual has a list of recommended sizes to guide you. Ultra hard produce like carrots should be cut lengthwise to avoid jamming.
Just like its predecessors Super Angel Plus is still challenging and slow to operate, however it pays off in the end as you’ll get the best tasting and the most nutritious juice out of this juicing machine.
Is it Easy to Clean?
Unlike other juicers this doesn’t have huge parts to wash so cleaning can be a breeze plus all detachable components (except the o-ring) can go into your dishwasher. The most challenging part to cleanup though is the screen housing but you can always use your premium cleaning brush included in the package to scrub hard to reach angles. According to some users you shouldn’t leave the juicer unwashed otherwise you’ll have to deal with dried up residue which is more difficult to get rid of.
Juice Quality
Juice made from high grade stainless steel are richer and color and fuller and taste. All parts that come in contact with the juice are 100% BPA free, free from toxins found in plastic. Add the slow RPM and the built-in cooling system Super Angel made sure that you’ll get the best tasting juice filled with live enzymes in it.
What Kinds of Produce Can it Juice?
This juicing machine can process any type of produce such as soft fruits, hard veggies, citrus fruits, green leafy vegetables, soy beans and almond nuts.
Hard produce such as bitter gourd, pear, yakon, cauliflower, ginger, broccoli, pepper, garlic, carrots, apple, asparagus, pineapple, turmeric, watermelon, sweet potato, beets, coconut, cucumber, fennel, cilantro, pumpkin and celery.
Citrus fruits like lemon, grapefruit, mandarin, orange, tangerine and lime.
Kale, dandelion greens, brussels sprout, collard greens, spring onion, cabbage, lettuce, pine tree needles, spinach, peppermint, basil, beet greens, wheatgrass, moringa and parsley are some of the leafy greens that it can process.
You can also make soy and almond milk with the help of the grinding housing.
Soft fruits including melon, avocado, blackberry, pomegranate, peach, grapes, papaya, kiwifruit, mango, strawberry, cranberries, and tomato can be turned into a puree using the soft fruit attachment.

Accessories
These attachments can turn your Super Angel Juicer into a grinder and puree machine, the bad news is you’ll have to purchase it separately.
The soft fruits attachment is similar to the standard screen housing except that it has small holes to allow small amounts of pulp in the juice making it possible to create puree with soft fruits as I mentioned above.
The blank or the grinding housing can help you make tofu, nut butters and frozen fruit sorbet. The standard screen housing will also work but only for processing small quantities.
Verdict
Nothing much has changed with Super Angel Plus, it’s like Super Angel 5500 has been resurrected. The good news is it’s currently the most affordable option Super Angel has to offer. There is no doubt that it’s a superior machine when it comes to efficiency and juice quality but just like any other twin gear juicers, operating it need some attention to detail to to keep it at it’s optimum performance. If you’re going for an all stainless steel juicer, get the Super Angel Plus. It’s the perfect match for serious juicers who have the budget.
