- Nutrient Retention & Juice Shelf Life - According to Dr. Gadget on “The Talk”, oxidation speeds up the process of breaking down nutrients from fruits and vegetables.Centrifugal juicer grind fruits and vegetables at high speed which attracts more oxygen to interact with food, facilitating oxidation. Juice from centrifugal juicers can only last for 24 hours, thus providing less nutritional value.Masticating and triturating juicers on the other hand slowly squeezes or chews fruits and vegetables. Less oxygen is involved during the process and juice from it generally lasts for 72 hours. Nutrients are best preserved with these types of juicers.

- Dimensions / Design - This is the size of your juicer, if you want to save some counter space, upright juicers are the way to go.
- Cleaning - Some juicers have self cleaning feauture, you just need to pour some water then it will auto clean itself.

- Can Make Almond / Soy Milk - There’s only a few juicer models which comes with a special attachment for grinding nuts, coffee, almond and soy, most of the time “horizontal” masticating juicers.
