This is a juicer and puree in one machine. It is excellent and works great with soft fruits because of its second juice disc which purees soft fruits for fruit smoothies. This Juice Fountain Duo Dual Disc Juicer is easy to use, assemble, disassemble and clean. It is very durable and heavy duty and it is surprisingly quiet centrifugal juicer.

Centrifugal juicers (a.ka. high-speed juicer, fast juicer) are more common and more affordable, and usually have an upright or vertical design to help you save space in your kitchen. Similar to a grinder, centrifugal juicers are equipped with a rapidly spinning cutting disc with sharp blade and teeth. This technology allows it to juice fruit and vegetables in no time.

Most centrifugal juicers have two speeds so you can choose to use low speed for soft fruits and a high speed for harder fruits and vegetables. It work best with soft and hard fruits and vegetables, but not quite as well with leafy greens like kale or spinach, or with wheatgrass.

“After a lot of research, we decided on this juicer. We love it and are making juice almost daily. The clean-up is not bad at all. The only thing we haven’t used yet is the second blade for fruit only. It’s a nice option but if we never use it, isn’t really worth the extra $90 over the other model. The machine seems well built has a lot of power. We went back and forth on the centrifugal vs masticating due to juicing leafy greens but we are glad we went with the centrifugal. We get plenty of juice out of leafy greens by compacting them into a ball and placing them into the feed tube while also running the pulp through the machine again. “The Breville BJE820Xl Dual Disc Juice Processor, while pricey, makes the expression “you get what you pay for” more true than ever. Why is this so? One key reason is that its puree disc and insert, which purees fruits such as mangoes, oranges and bananas, and retains the fiber rich fiber pulp for thick, all-fruit smoothies. (Further, while I haven’t used this disc for making the following, it also is supposed to be great for making healthy dips, sauces, soups and sorbets). A second reason is the juice disc, which extracts only the juice from fruits and vegetables that enables an 8oz glass to be ready in just about five seconds. A third reason is its 3″ wide chute that allows you to process whole fruits and vegetables without pre-cutting. Reason four is that it comes with an extra large 1.2 liter jug with froth separator; and reason five is its excellent engineering that enables the processor to operate in a very quiet manner due to its high torque, 1200 watt motor. “After a lot of research, I purchased the Breville Dual Disc Juicer and I am so glad that I did. The machine is beautiful, easy to set up and a breeze to clean. However, those are secondary to it’s sheer power and speed. The Breville makes quick work of anything you throw at it, carrots 5-6 at a time, apples, beets are no match - even a lower speeds. Switch discs and it efficiently juices strawberries, oranges, and leafy vegetables.
