Masticating Juicer Benefits
Masticating Juicers can process almost everything, from fruits and vegetables to leafy greens such as wheatgrass, spinach and kale. Some models can even help you make soy and almond milk.
The efficient low-speed masticating technology presses and extracts juice instead of shredding like high speed juicers do. The juicing screw masticates the fruits and vegetables, breaking down the cellular structure and releasing the nutrients and minerals. This technology minimizes oxidation and preserves nutrients and healthy enzymes, producing a fresh all natural juice which can last up to 72 hours.

Customer Reviews
“Holy cats, I love this juicer. I have wanted a Hurom for a while, but after learning that all slow juicers are made by the same two factories in Korea (run by brothers, no less, who basically use all the same processes), I “settled” on the Breville. In retrospect, I made a great decision, especially with the lightning deal and price break!
Look, a lot of people holler and moan about cleaning the single auger juicer and all its parts. If you take a few minutes right after you’ve used it to soak each piece in a bowl of warm soapy water, use the little brush to scrub it a bit, and rinse it off/air dry, from start to finish you’ve invested maybe 5 minutes. Ten if you dry it by hand.
The masticating mechanism — the auger — does a great job of really efficiently pulverizing fruit, veg, and wheatgrass. I haven’t tried nuts yet, but I am excited to get to that soon! I haven’t had any need of the backup feature yet; no stalls or clogs. Make the effort to cut your raw materials up a bit into manageable chunks, and you’ll be set.
There are lots of great tutorials on Youtube that go over assembly, operation, and cleaning of this juicer. It doesn’t make much sense to me that people complain about using it without doing any research ahead of time, or bother to learn about it before opening their box.” - E. Trester
” After reading reviews and understanding which juicers were the best, I chose this one for juice cleanses and daily juicing needs. It leaves the pulp all most dry. Using the brush it came with will get the basket clean. I have seen negative reviews. I don’t have any to say. If you are patient and figure out everything the first couple of times, it is worth the money for the benefits. It is a SLOW juicer, yes. However, you are getting wonderful benefits from your produce. It does take some prep work of your produce, but I can not say enough how much I believe it is worth it.” - mom of Four
“So I’ve owned a Breville Juicer before but it was the taller kind, not this single-auger masticating juicer. I use this EVERY day, often more than once. I have a hereditary condition that causes problems with my digestive tract and there is no way I could get all those healthy fruits and veggies down without my juicer.
I stick cucumbers, carrots, spinach, lettuce, bok choy, mint, celery, kale, apples, citrus(peeled or it tastes bitter) and probably several other things that I can’t think right off hand. I do cut the apples into eighths or sixths. Most everything else just gets crammed in there. If there a jam, hit the reverse for a couple seconds then keep on going. I get a very small amount of pulp that is quite dry from it. I will often then take my green juice and make a smoothie in the blender with frozen fruit(mango, strawberry, blueberries, etc), banana, protein powder and anything else I want to put in. The apple juice(depending on what kind of apples you use, usually sweetens it enough but you can also add fructose or honey or whatever your sweetener of choice is. Protein powder and sometimes a couple tablespoons of blanched almonds makes this a meal which is great for me- no stomach pain!
The big advantage of the masticating juicer is that you don’t end up with mushy or stringy stuff lke you might if you threw it all just in a blender.
I wash it right away- before I even go make my smoothie in the blender and it is a snap to clean up- haven’t had to scrub it or anything. I leave the parts in the drying rack til next time. I found this easier to clean than Breville’s Juice Fountain. Oh, and I did NOT get this free. I paid full price and consider it worth every penny!! ” - Amy V.
