My last juicer was centrifugal type and lasted 20 years. When it died recently, I started researching a replacement only to find a mind-boggling amount of brands and styles. After all the time invested, I’m glad I decided on this Omega. The juicer is really impressive. Very compact. Quiet. My first item through was frozen bananas using the blank and I may never buy store-bought ice cream again. Next I juiced a combo of veggies and fruits. All processed smoothly, quickly, and effortlessly. The juice is clearly superior to that of my old juicer. No froth, very cold and fresh tasting. The cleanup is NOTHING compared to my last juicer. It cleans completely and quickly; no mess stuck in the screen that you have to work at. Very few parts. Really sturdy. This is a dream juicer, and at this price it’s even more incredible. I LOVE, LOVE this juicer!! I had read a lot of reviews from different sites (positive and very negative ones!). I don’t understand those that complain about how slow and “messy” the juicer is…messy?! are u kidding me? this juicer is not messy at all, the clean up is easy; just rinse under the tap and leave out to dry. I didn’t even have to use the little brush to scrub the parts. As for speed…Juicing isn’t fast food!! Don’t be put off by people saying that the juicer is slow; I previously had a centrifugal type juicer (and those things are fast!), although the Omega is slower, once you start juicing you’ll have a glass of juice in less than five minutes. For those complaining that they have to chop up the vegs into small pieces, give me break and don’t be lazy! if you actually bother to chop your veg/fruit into appropriate sizes, all you do is drop it in and the juicer takes care of the rest all on it’s own, you don’t even have to bother to push it in with that plunger thing. Some have mentioned that it doesn’t juice carrots too well; this one was a big concern of mine, but I found no problem with juicing carrots, it juices them just fine for my taste. I found myself using a little less of what I usually use to make juice, so this juicer makes plenty of juice! I haven’t used the other features yet (I bought this mainly for juicing), but I’m sure I will be impressed. I have had 3 centrifugal juicers in the last 10 years and have found them all inadequate. They all produced too much pulp waste vs juice produced and were difficult and time consuming to clean. With the Omega 8003, I have finally found the juicer of my dreams! It quietly creates great juice from everything especially wheat grass and other greens like cilantro and parsley. The minimal pulp waste is bone dry! The juicer doesn’t take up much space on my already crowded counter and is a breeze to clean. Takes about a minute as opposed to 10 for my old juicers.
