This juicer has a low speed juicing system which squeezes fresh juice from fruits, vegetables and leafy greens slowly but effectively. This VRT400HDS is the silver version of the VRT400. What is good about this juicer is its design. It is compact, easy to store, assemble disassemble and clean. It also has an auto cleaning function that makes cleaning a lot faster.

Masticating Juicers can process almost everything, from fruits and vegetables to leafy greens such as wheatgrass, spinach and kale. Some models can even help you make soy and almond milk.

The efficient low-speed masticating technology presses and extracts juice instead of shredding like high speed juicers do. The juicing screw masticates the fruits and vegetables, breaking down the cellular structure and releasing the nutrients and minerals. This technology minimizes oxidation and preserves nutrients and healthy enzymes, producing a fresh all natural juice which can last up to 72 hours.

We’ve been looking for a juicer for a long time. My MIL has done extensive research about juicers and highly suggested this one. She has a Breville which is good but it’s loud and juices fast so you lose nutrients of what you’re juicing. This is a great product! Compared to the Breville, this one is slower, but that’s what it’s supposed to do. It’s easy to clean, quiet, and I really like it. It depends on what you want, quick and less nutrients or slower with all the nutrients of the items you’re juicing. Just a hint…the manual suggests or says you can/should use this machine for 30 minutes and then let it rest the motor. This is so the machine doesn’t overheat which would defeat the purpose of this juicer. So, I suggest prep all your ingredients and then juice. You will need to make time to juice. However, in my opinion, this is worth the money and time spent. The downside is that it did not come with an instruction manual. It is necessary unless you’ve watched a video but still the manual has important info for you. Happy Juicing!! - Wtwphrs

This juicer meets all our criteria for a top of the line product. We have had no issue whatsoever with the “teeth” wearing. (Just be sure to assemble the juicer according to the directions.) It is very quiet and I can have a conversation while juicing. The juice yield is high and the pulp is very dry. We juice primarily greens, vegetables and some fruit. The juice quality is high and the clean up is simple. We juiced several large bags of apples and the juicer ran smoothly with no problems. As of right now, we are thankful that we chose this juicer… and we were very impressed with the warranty. We would highly recommend this product to anyone who is an avid juicer. - Deborah Peterson

This juicer is fantastic. We’ve done a ton of different fruits & veg and have not been disappointed. There is no foam and the extra straining tray makes for a completely smooth juice. Cleans very easily and is even easier to assemble.
