Carrot Orange Pineapple Smoothie

Let me tell you a short story:

The first time I tried the carrot orange pineapple smoothie, I was sick so my taste pallet was all over the place. So, I genuinely thought it’s not good. However, everyone says it’s delicious, even the kids!

So, once I recovered, I made it once more and it is, indeed, awesome!

Therefore, you should totally give this smoothie a try.

How to make the Carrot Orange Pineapple Smoothie?

Luckily, the only preparation you need to worry about is the carrots. To begin with, wash your carrots. Well, you should actually do this for all your fresh ingredients.

Then, peel the carrots and cut the ends. Afterward, roughly chop the carrots into about an inch (if it’s a personal blender, it has to be smaller).

The orange is just as straightforward. Simply peel the skin and remove the seeds (if there’s any).

If you’re going to use fresh ingredients, then prep time will be a lot longer, especially with a fresh pineapple. Don’t worry, the resulting carrot orange pineapple smoothie is worth the trouble!

Now that the preparations are done, you can begin adding the ingredients to the blender. Start by pouring the milk and then the orange. Then add the carrots, and all the fruits.

If you’re going to use chia seeds, add it while blending. You can also soak it for about 20 minutes to achieve that chewy chia texture. Moreover, you can just top the chia instead of blending it in.

Substitutions and Add-ins

You can use water instead of milk for the carrot orange pineapple smoothie. In fact, any milk will do, coconut milk, almond milk, soy milk, it’s your choice. However, I don’t recommend using fruit juice since it’s already sweet by itself.

For the orange, you can substitute it with other citrus fruits. Sadly, it might not be as sweet as the desired recipe.

Here’s more:

You can skip bananas if you want; since chia seeds already make the smoothie thick and creamy. Or, you can use a whole banana if you don’t have chia seeds.

As for the pineapple, you can substitute it with your favorite tropical fruit. For me, the best alternative is either mango or peach.

Just so you know, you can use fresh ingredients. But, if you want a cold carrot orange smoothie, simply add ice cubes. It will dilute the flavor, but it’s not that bad.
