The Omega J8006 HDS is a 5th-generation nutrition center. It’s the successor of the ever-popular 8006 classic model. It shares some of 8006’s best features but is more efficient and durable. You’ll get a 2HP motor, BPA-free parts, 25% larger funnels, and larger and stronger screen housing.

It was the consistently best masticating juicer for years, but the manufacturer is currently phasing it out. Get it now while it’s still available.

This juicer’s ability to produce 8 liters of juice with continuous juicing makes it stand out. It also has an extra large feed tray to make juicing large amounts of produce easier and faster, but you’ll still have to cut down your ingredients to fit the 1.5-inch chute.

The new flagship model of Omega’s masticating juicer lineup is #3 on our list—The Omega MM1500HDS.#4.

Both excel in juice extraction efficiency and nutrient retention, but Omega 8006 HDS has more to offer at a lower price. You’ll still get the complimentary food processing accessories.

The Omega J8006 is the best juicer for families thanks to its low price and high capacity.

If you want to upgrade your Omega juicing experience, the NC1000HDS would be a perfect choice. This nutrition center is the brand’s newest option, similar to the J8006, a heavy-duty masticating juice extractor.

It’s bigger and more powerful than the 8006 HDS or the MM1500. It can process wheatgrass with ease, leafy greens, celeries, root crops, berries, citruses, etc., making it the best masticating juicer there is. Anything an Omega juicer can do, this one has you covered.

You can also make nut-based milk alternatives with it and perform a whole range of food processing tasks when you’re not juicing. It has similar accessories as the 8006HDS but more capabilities and a better overall design. For example, both machines can process wheatgrass, but the NC1000HDS does it better.

The clue to the efficiency and quality of these Omega juicers lies in the juice yield and how dry the leftover pulp is when you are done juicing. The 8006 has an average yield; you can tell you’re getting most of your juice from the pulp. However, the NC1000HDS leaves behind the driest pulp of all of these juicers, except for the MM1500, which has a similar yield.

Aside from its outstanding performance, this heavy-duty machine is quite a head-turner. The clean, angled design is a break from Omega’s traditional style.

The good news is, despite being a premium product, Omega NC1000HDS is still quite affordable.

MM1500GY is Omega’s new flagship model. The GY is actually its color designation, and comes in red. It appears identical to the Omega 8006 HDS and the NC1000HDS in terms of design. Have a closer look. It’s basically the same product, but the MM1500 has been optimized for juicing celery and leafy greens.

MM1500‘s juicing screen has a tighter clearance than the 8006 HDS. While the previous version of this product, the MM900HDS, was made strictly for juicing, the new model comes with the same extra food processing accessories.

The tighter clearance of the juicing screen limits the functionality of the MM1500. You can’t do nut milk, but you can do nut butter. This machine is optimized for celery and other leafy greens, but if you want to juice wheatgrass, the NC1000HDS above is a better choice.

With the added food processing functions, it’s one of the finest masticating juicers out there with a seal of quality from Omega. It can make green juices, celery juices, or any juice. It’s a dependable product that will last you more than a decade.

Fun Fact:

It’s also known as the Medical Medium Juicer or the Omega Celery Juicer.

The original Medical Medium Juicer, model MM900HDS, is still available at a lower price tag if you are just interested in juicing celery and other produce and don’t need food processing accessories.

As the name suggests, Omega Juice Cube has a cubical figure. If Marie Kondo would pick a juicing machine; this would be her choice. It’s the only juice extractor that has built-in storage. All the parts can be stored in one convenient place.

Despite its extraordinary design, it is suitable for juice extraction efficiency and nutrient retention. Plus, you’ll still get all the extra functions you’d expect from Omega.

It’s the most compact Omega Juicer. But it also has the lowest capacity. You can only make one glass of juice at a time in this machine.

We have included the Omega Juice Cube on this list because it is an excellent option for singles, studio apartments, college dorms, and small kitchens. If you expect to make juice for more than one person and have the space, you should look at one of the other Omega juicers instead.

MMV700S is a proper cold press juicer with a bigger spout.

The advantage the Omega MMV700S has over the JC3000 (below) and the VSJ843 (not ranked) is it can accommodate bigger portions of fruits and vegetables. The Wide Mouth Vertical Juicer features a 3-inch feed chute that requires little prep of produce before tossing it in. It can process a whole apple as long as it fits its 76mm chute.

Other types of produce should be cut to optimize the machine’s efficiency and significantly reduce your preparation time.

Another thing this model has that the horizontal masticating juicers do not is a mixing function. This is ideal if you want to combine several types of juice while juicing. This also allows you to make baby food, nut butter, nut milk, and sorbet, even though it doesn’t have a homogenizing accessory like the other Omega juicers listed above.

The fine juicing screen on this Omega vertical slow juicer means you’ll get virtually pulp-free juice – but it also means that the pulp is quite wet when you’re done, showing that you’re not getting quite the exact yield as the other Omega juicers on this list.

But, if you prefer a vertical juicer over a horizontal one, this is the best Omega juicer for you.

The Omega JC3000 completes Omega’s line-up of juice extractors. It has the fewest capabilities but the lowest price tag of all the slow-masticating juicers in the Omega line. It is only suitable if you are trying juicing for the first time and need only a stand-alone juicer.

Omega has one other vertical slow juicer not featured in this post: the Omega VSJ843. It also is a traditional vertical slow juicer with a small chute opening.

Because of trying to hit a low price point, Omega is forced to use more inexpensive (and lower quality) components than those typical of Omega Juicers. But, if you want a vertical Omega Juicer at a competitive price point, the JC3000 is for you.

Which to Choose

As promised, here is a brief comparison guide of the features and capabilities of these 5 Omega juicers so you can more easily see which is right for you.

The first 4 Omega juicers on this list are low-speed horizontal juicers with several things in common. All have a 200-watt motor, a three-stage auger, and a 15-year warranty. They all come with a juicing cone, juice bowl, pulp bowl, strainer/sieve, 2 breadstick nozzles, 4 pasta nozzles, and a homogenizing cone that can handle baby food, pasta, and sorbet, but not all can do nut milk, nut butter, or wheatgrass effectively.
