The Ninja Foodi SS401 is by far the most versatile blender from the brand. Hence, it deserves the crown as the “Best Ninja Blender.”

As the newest kid on the block, there’s no doubt that it’s more capable than any of Ninja’s blender product line.

First, thanks to the anti-stall technology and robust motor, the Ninja Foodi SS401 can make thick blends. In short, you have more recipes to try with the new SS401!

Simultaneously, it has the most intuitive control panel with a dial and automatic presets. Not to mention, it looks exquisite, which will, no doubt, complement your kitchen theme.

Its food processing capability is much better than its predecessors. For context, it finally includes grating/slicing discs and a food chute. This is the best pick if you are looking for a Ninja blender that can moonlight as a food processor!

This blender also has a personal blending cup, allowing you to make blends for one. The cup is portable and includes a spout lid.

The biggest strength of this system is its versatility. It is the only blender and food processing system you need in your kitchen.

On the downside, it is one of the loudest Ninja blenders. Ninja blenders tend to be louder than average, but the SS401 tests at as much as 95 decibels at top speed.

#2 – Ninja TWISTi

Most Powerful Ninja Blender

Ninja TWISTi Blender DUO
5.0
$119.99

A great device for making smoothies, smoothie bowls, frozen drinks, and nut butters. Drizzle cap is great for blending up your own mayonnaise, nut butters, and salad dressings. The built-in tamper on the large pitcher ensures everything is blended perfectly smooth.

The Bottom Line

While not the largest or most versatile blenders, it works extremely well for what it does. It also comes in at a good price point. If you primarily need a blender for smoothies and nut butters, you'll be very happy with this device!

Model #: SS151
Pros:
  • 34oz, 24oz, & 18oz pitchers/cups included
  • Best smoothie bowl maker at its price range

If you want a powerful blender that can rip through frozen chunks of ice or fruit, the TWISTi is for you. At 1600 watts, it’s the most powerful motor in the entire lineup of Ninja Blenders.

The Ninja TWISTi earned a top spot in our roundup of Best Blenders for Frozen Drinks. It powers through ice like nobody’s business. But the real star of this blender is the smoothie bowl and its ability to produce very thick blends from frozen ingredients.

It only has some of the add-ons and capabilities of the Ninja Kitchen Systems. But it’s still a great machine, capable of making smoothies, smoothie bowls, salad dressings, nut butters, spreads, frozen cocktails, and protein shakes. Oh, and it can do all of those with ease!

The best thing about the Ninja TWISTi is the Smoothie Bowl with built-in tamper. It has paddles that you can turn counterclockwise to push ingredients to the blades to make the thickest blends.

The Ninja SS101 has a very long name. It’s also called the Ninja Foodi Power Nutri Duo Smoothie Bowl Maker and Personal Blender. After reviewing the product, I thought it was the best Ninja smoothie blender

The Ninja SS101 can make smoothies just like many other blenders. You can add your ingredients to the Nutri Ninja Cup and let it go.

But if you switch to the Power Nutri Bowl, you’ll achieve a consistency close to a sorbet’s. Essentially, you’ll have a scoopable smoothie bowl! It works as well as the Ninja TWISTi, but in smaller portions.

Don’t believe me? Check out the full review.

#4 – Nutri Ninja Pro with Auto-iQ

Best Nutri Ninja Blender

Ninja Nutri Pro Compact Personal Blender with Auto-iQ

If you like to mix up your shakes with frozen fruit or ice, you’ll want a blender with a powerful motor and quality blades. That’s why the Nutri Ninja with Auto-iQ is a good option for a protein shake blender. This blender is a combination of affordability and versatility when it comes to protein shakes.

Nutri Ninja has one of the better names in the personal blending space. This version comes with a 1100-Watts of power. So it has plenty of juice to shred even rock-hard dice!

The Ninja Nutri-blender BN401 is the newest product in the Nutri Ninja series. Like the Ninja Foodi Power Nutri Duo, it’s capable of making silky smooth nutrient-dense drinks.

Any of the two could be the best Ninja blender for personal use. If you want the smoothie bowl making feature, go for the Ninja SS101 Foodi model. It all boils down to your needs.

I mentioned a while ago that Ninja labels their single-serve blender as Nutri Ninjas. This is what this category is all about. They are the smallest, highly portable blenders from the popular kitchen equipment company aside from the Ninja Blast Rechargeable Blender.

Despite its compact size, it can handle many recipes. Dressings, sauces, nut milks, and frozen desserts are all doable. It’s more than a smoothie-making machine!

As an added perk, it’s easy to use and clean. On the downside, it is very loud for a personal blender, testing at as much as 102.3 decibels.

It is still an effective and affordable personal blender.

#5 – Ninja Pro Plus Countertop Blender

Best Cheap Ninja Countertop Blender

Ninja Professional Plus Bender with Auto IQ, 72-oz
$88.99 ($88.99 / Count)

A great entry-level countertop blender. Highly functional and budget-friendly. Has the same powerful motor found in more expensive Ninja models. If you want a full-package deal with all the accessories, check the Ninja Kitchen System.

Model #: BN701
Pros:
  • Modern sleek design
  • Affordable
  • 3 walk-away blend settings
  • 3 manual speed control
  • Pulse feature
  • 72-ounce pitcher for hefty servings
  • Powerful 1400-watt motor

Although this is my low-cost pick for Ninja, it’s still reasonably capable. It has three walkaway Auto-iQ modes: ice crush, smoothie, and frozen desserts. It also has three manual speed levels: low, medium, and high.

The BN701 blender has a 1400-watt motor, which is the same one installed in many of the more expensive Ninja blenders. That’s plenty of power to render almonds into almond butter if you are so inclined.

It does not have the individual-sized cups found in many Ninja blender packages. But there isn’t any reason you can’t blend with the large pitcher and pour the contents into a glass.

Another downside to this blender is that you must remove the blades before pouring your drink or you will make a mess with it. On the upside, it is no louder than the number 1 Ninja Blender on this list.

#6 – Ninja Blast Personal Portable Rechargeable Blender

Best Portable Ninja Countertop Blender

Ninja BC151NV Blast Portable Blender, Cordless, Leakproof Lid & Sip Spout, USB-C Rechargeable
Pros:
  • Lightweight
  • Blend vessel & lid are dishwasher safe
  • All parts are BPA free

  • Can't detach vessel to drink

This new blender from Ninja is a truly portable blender. It is rechargeable with a USB-C and blends up to 15 times before the battery runs out. It weighs less than 2 pounds for portability!

The blending vessel has a spout lid with a carry handle so you can blend, carry, and drink wherever you go. Even though it’s small, it is powerful enough to blast through ice and frozen fruits.

The best thing about this Ninja blender is that it is the quietest on this list, testing at just 65 decibels.

The downside is that this portable blender has just an 18-ounce capacity, the smallest on this Ninja blender roundup. The blend vessel also stays attached to the base when you carry and drink, which can be bulky in the hand.

I haven’t reviewed this blender yet, but stay tuned for a full review!

Ninja Countertop vs Drink System vs Kitchen System vs Personal Blender Series

What’s the difference between Ninja’s four different lines of blenders?

Shark Ninja has four main product series. It has a Countertop, Drink System, Kitchen System, and Single-serve Blenders.

Here’s a quick explanation of each series:

  • Countertop means a standalone blender with no accessories
  • Drink systems are dual-purpose blenders that have a personal cup attachment
  • Kitchen system is the most versatile, coming with food processor attachments and more
  • The Personal blender series are a catalog of Ninja’s smallest blenders that are primarily used for shakes, smoothies, and very small blending tasks*

*Note: Ninja’s Personal blenders can have many names—single-serve blender, travel blender, portable blender, ninja-bullet.

Ninja Countertop Blenders

If you only need a traditional countertop blender without any attachments, you should look into the Ninja Professional Plus Blender (below). However, I must warn you that Ninja’s accessories aren’t cross-compatible.

Should you decide to invest in a single-serve cup in the future, sadly, it won’t work. Ninja used to make a Foodi Heat iQ blender that could cook soups. However, the company has retired that line.

Bottom Line

There’s only one reason to choose this specific type of Ninja blender—that is, if you want a cheaper option. Just keep in mind that it won’t be compatible with a Nutri Ninja cup or the food processor attachment.

Apart from this standalone blenders, there are a handful which we did not include in the list because they are discontinued.

Ninja Drink Systems

Most of the blenders under this category are called Duos.

“Duo” means dual purpose. These are countertop blenders with personal cup attachments.

Bottom Line

This series is perfect for those looking for a dependable all-around traditional blender that also doubles as a smoothie or protein shake maker.

Ninja Kitchen System

The benefit of going for a Ninja Kitchen System is the complementary accessories. As I said a while ago, Ninja’s blender attachments are not cross-compatible.

You can buy a countertop model and decide later that you need an additional personal cup. But it’s confusing, and you may get the wrong one. There would be no blending cycles optimized for a single-serve cup or a food processor.

So, if you need those accessories, jump straight into any of these Kitchen Systems.

Bottom Line

This type may not be the cheapest, but they are an excellent deal. It comes with must-have kitchen accessories. And it’s an all-in-one blender. Some models even have a spiralizer.

I bet it’s their answer to Vitamix’s premium line of smart blenders without the expensive price tag.

Personal Blender Series

If you’re only planning to make smoothies, Ninja’s personal blender line has you covered. It’s cheap, easy to use, and takes a little space on your countertop.

Except for the Power Nutri Duo, Ninja calls its single-serve blenders Nutri Ninjas.

For some reason, some people also call it the Ninja Bullet. Well, I can’t blame them. Nutri Bullet and Nutri Ninja sound pretty similar. Ninja Bullet is what you’ll get when you take the common denominator off.

To set the record straight, Nutri Bullet is a different brand. It’s one of Ninja Kitchen’s top competitors.

Bottom Line

Surprisingly, these compact smoothie makers have a better blend quality than larger units. So, if you want a smoother and more consistent texture, pick any of the variants above.

So there you have it, the Ninja Blender Series—countertop, drink system, kitchen system, and personal blenders.
