The Ninja BN701 is the most up to date version of the ever-popular Ninja Professional Blender. The brand doubled down on its functionality while keeping the price within reach.
It boasts three Auto-IQ blending programs for smoothies, crushing ice, and healthy frozen treats. These intelligent presets take the guesswork out of blending.
Apart from those convenient presets, it can also help you make nut butters, sauces and dips, and if you’ll buy the Kitchen System variant, it comes with a food processor attachment that will open up to more kitchen applications.
Compared to its predecessor (Ninja Professional Blender 1000), the Ninja BN701 has more processing power. To give you a concrete idea, the former comes with a 1000-watt motor, and the latter is rated at 1400 watts.
Now, let’s get to the good and bad parts of this product.

Ninja BN701 Features
What can you make with Ninja Professional Blender?
This blending machine has a stacked blade design. Instead of the usual solitary blade, the brand opted for three blades stacked on top of each other. They call it the total crushing blade.
That feat, along with its powerful 1400-watt motor, makes it highly efficient at pulverizing anything inside it. It can crush ice, make your favorite smoothie, and so on.
To give you a clear picture, here’s what you can do with the Ninja BN701.
*Kneading function is only possible with the food processor attachment
This list is usually shorter on affordable blenders. Perhaps, that’s the ultimate selling point of this blender with Auto-IQ.
Unfortunately, some users have reported that you’ll end up with a not-so-smooth texture. But, considering the affordable price point, that is something that we can compromise.
However, there’s a walk-around for that small issue. If you want a silky smooth blend, use the single-serve cups. It’s included when you purchase the Ninja BN801 Kitchen System variant.
Just so you know, this product cannot handle hot items. It’s not designed for making hot soups. That is something that only a cooking blender or a powerful blender can do.
Is Ninja BN701 easy to use?
The only complicated thing about this countertop blender is the placement of the pitcher and lid.
Here’s what I mean:
But that’s all there is to it. You’ll figure it out in no time.
On a positive note, this complex twisting and locking mechanism adds an extra level of safety. Just imagine those blades flying out of the container. It would be huge disaster.
So, kudos to the brand for making it ultra-safe for users.
One thing that you should keep in mind is that when pouring smoothies, you need to take the crushing blades first.
Overall, I would say that the Ninja Professional Plus Blender has a usability rating of 3/5.
See it in action:
The Ninja Professional Blender is the standalone version of the Ninja BN801 Kitchen System. It highlights a powerful 1400-watt motor that can pulverize ice into snow effortlessly. Compared to BN801’s five automatic settings, the BN701 only features 3. Other than its Auto-iQ technology, there’s also the 3-speed manual control for recipe personalization.
Technology
Now, let’s get to the control panel.
What I like about this Ninja Professional Blender is it comes with Auto-IQ presets for making the most common recipes.
The BN701 comes with three hassle-free settings—for smoothie, crushing ice, and frozen desserts.
On top of those Auto-IQ programs, you can also use the manual speed levels (low, medium, high). There’s also a pulse button, if the situation calls for it.
Last but not least—cleaning.
Let’s face it; washing your blender isn’t exciting. Thankfully, all the attachments of this Ninja are dishwasher safe.
Pro tip:
Wash your blender right away. If not, fill your blender half-way through with warm water and a few drops of dishwashing soap. Run it for about a minute to loosen up hardened food particles.
Ninja BN701 vs. Ninja BN801
Please note that the Ninja BN701 is a standalone countertop blender. This variant doesn’t come with the food processor attachment, nor the single-serve cups.
If you want those accessories, you should check the Ninja Kitchen System variant. It’s basically the same machine with very minor differences.
I don’t want to confuse you, so here’s a quick comparison of Ninja BN701 and Ninja BN801.
