Vitamix The Quiet One is a popular commercial blender among business owners, big or small.
If you recently paid a visit to Starbucks, chances are you’ve come face to face with this blending machine.
Here’s the deal:
The ultimate reason to get this bulky commercial-grade blender for your smoothie bar business is the noise reduction technology. Its enclosure effectively dampens the noise to a more tolerable level.
High-powered blenders without soundproofing can easily reach 85 to 95 decibels at their peak revolutions per minute (RPM). That noise level is something in between a lawnmower at best or a jackhammer.
With The Quiet One’s enclosure system, that noise level is dialed down to just 64 Decibels. That’s equivalent to the sound of a normal conversation.
Having an “almost silent” blender will keep your staff and customers happy. It’s safe for your team’s hearing health, and it’s not going to overpower your Spotify playlist. In short, you can set the ambiance for your customers.
Another reason to pick this Vitamix Commercial Blender is that you have two options. There’s an On-counter Model (Vitamix 36019), or you can also have it built-in on your countertop (Vitamix 40009).
If I’m going to start a healthy restaurant business serving green smoothies, I will pick the on-counter model. It will give me the freedom to rearrange and optimize the workstation every now and then.
Should you need the in-counter model, check out the product image on the right (if you’re using a laptop) or down below (if you’re using a smartphone).
That’s just the tip of the iceberg; the Quiet One has a lot more to offer than its noise reduction technology.
In the meantime let’s go over its advantages and disadvantages.

*The first six buttons are the default blending presets.
**Numbers 31 to 34 are intended for the aerating container.
That’s a ton of automatic blending programs. I’m pretty sure you’ll find something that will work on your menu offering.
The question is…
How do you program Vitamix The Quiet One?
The Vitamix Commercial Blender only has six buttons. So you can only use six of those 34 presets at any given time. Hopefully, the new version will have digital touch controls with a more straightforward user interface.
Meanwhile, this is how you can program those buttons.
Is Vitamix Commercial Blender easy to use?
If you watched the entire video above or down below, you’d see how easy it is to use. The only tricky part is setting up button shortcuts. But, after you’ve done that, it’s like operating your good old countertop blender.
The only unique feature of the Vitamix Quiet One blender is the enclosure system. Opening and closing is a very minimal addition to the whole process.
If you need minor adjustments, you can also use the manual controls. There are two pulse buttons. The one on top has the highest RPM.
In case you’re experimenting with a new recipe, you can manually run the motor by pressing the start-stop button. Then you can increment the speed using the arrow buttons from 1% up to 100%.
Super easy, right?
Anyway, the only downside to this Vitamix Commercial Blender is that the company advises against running its parts in a dishwasher. They also have a designated list of safe cleaning products.
These precautions are geared at maximizing the life of your machine and the integrity of its parts. Though the container is dishwasher friendly, it will eventually erode the plastic components due to usage frequency.
Unfortunately, there’s no workaround to handwashing all the detachable parts.
The good news is, Vitamix has an automatic rinsing tool for blender containers. It’s faster than a dishwasher, and it’s going to save you a lot of time. You’ll learn more about it in the accessories section.

Here’s another demo video from Vitamix.
Vitamix The Quiet One is the most silent commercial blender in the market. With just a 64 dB noise rating, it’s perfect for a restaurant with dine-in customers. It includes 34 quick-blend presets that can rotate between six available buttons. On top of that, The Quite One commercial blender offers a range of accessories geared at augmenting operation efficiency.
Vitamix Quiet One Accessories
When you purchase Vitamix Quiet One Blender, it already includes a 48-ounce (1.4 L) Advance Container Kit. Since you’re operating a business, you might need more than one container.
Here are all the available accessories and replacement parts.
Advance Container Kit
Model # 015978
This 48-ounce (1.4 L) Advance Container Kit is already included when you purchase Vitamix Quiet One Blender. It features an easy-pour spout and better blending efficiency. It’s also compatible with Blending Station Advance, Drink Machine Advance & BarBoss Advance.
Vitamix Aerating Container
Model # 62947
Chances are you won’t be needing this 32-ounce (946 mL) Aerating Container if you’re selling smoothies and shakes. This novel blending jar is mainly used for emulsifying, whipping, frothing, and muddling drinks. In case you need one, you can purchase it on the link above.
The best part about the Advance container is it comes in an assortment of colors. You can match it with your business’ branding strategy.
Vitamix Rinse-O-Matic Blender Container Rinser
Since it’s not safe to wash the parts in a dishwasher repeatedly, you need to have this equipment installed on one of your sinks. Or at least prepare a water line for this handy tool.
Having the ability to rinse your blender container quickly will streamline your business operation. It’s one of the best investments you’ll make on top of the Vitamix The Quiet One.
Wear and tear is part of your business cost. Sooner, you’ll have to replace your blade assembly or maybe your container.

Other Vitamix Commercial Blenders
Suppose you think The Quiet One is not a good fit for your business needs. In that case, there are also other Vitamix commercial blenders in the company’s catalog.
Vitamix Touch and Go
Vitamix Touch & Go is like the smaller sibling of Vitamix Quiet One blender. Its container has a slightly smaller capacity and a tad weaker motor. You’ll still get six programmable buttons, but your options are down to 20 blending presets.
There’s a newer Touch & Go Advance Blender, but it’s not available on Amazon yet. I will update this guide once it becomes available.
In case you’re looking for a commercial-grade blender for a high-volume kitchen, you need something reliable and an even bigger capacity. That’s where the Vitamix XL will come in handy. It comes with a generous container of about 1.5 Gallon or 5.6 Liters.
Best of luck with your business venture!
