What You Can Do With It
The Ninja Foodi Power Blender & Processor System adds a ton of versatility to your kitchen. From smoothies to pizza dough and plenty in between. Here are some of the types of dishes you can make with it:
Keep in mind that these are just some of the creations that the Ninja Foodi Power Blender & Processor System grants you the ability to make. You’ll also be able to crush ice, make salsa, and make nut milk if you spring for a nut milk bag. The possibilities aren’t endless, but they are extensive!
Rating Each Feature of the Ninja Foodi Power Blender & Processor System
First, I want to go over the things that the system does very well, such as making smoothies, smoothie bowls, blending soups, and making dough. Then, we will move on to the things the Foodi Power Blender & Processor system does okay or struggles a little with.
Smoothies
At 1400 peak Watts, there isn’t much the blender can’t tear through in short order. A pitcher of bananas frozen in liquid nitrogen might cause the blender to struggle, but not much else.
When it comes to smoothies, the Ninja Foodi Power Blender & Processor System shines.
With its large 72 oz (64 oz max capacity) pitcher, it can makes smoothies for up to 3 to 4 people.
Its blades are sharp. Very sharp! Anyone that’s had a Ninja blender that came with the Total Crushing & Chopping Blade has accidentally cut themselves. If you buy one, you’ll nick yourself as well. So be careful!
Although all blades will dull over time, it’s been our experience that the unit itself will wear out and need replacing before the blades do.
The Nutri Ninja Cups are perfect for personal-sized smoothies. The only problem with this unit is that it only comes with one Nutri Ninja Cup. If you want more, you’ll need to buy more. Alternatively, you may find yourself washing the cup often.
Smoothies: Rated 4.5 out of 5
Smoothie Bowls
This device also makes thick smoothie bowls; especially at its price point. The cup and built-in tamper allows you to keep your frozen items mixing while it blends.
The liquid fill line is printed on the side of the cup, making it easy to determine how much liquid and how much frozen fruit to add. In our first test, however, our smoothie bowl came out soupy. In hindsight, we didn’t add enough frozen fruit.
So be prepared for some trial and error before you start making perfect smoothie bowls.

Dough
Believe me when I tell you this: we didn’t expect the Ninja Foodi Power Blender & Processor System’s dough-mixing ability to be the feature it is best at. But that’s exactly what we discovered!
Maybe we just happened to pick the perfect dough recipe for testing purposes, how knows? But the pizza-dough recipe we went with was mixed perfectly.
You won’t be using the ultra-sharp crushing and chopping blade for dough. You’ll be using the dough blade included in the package. The dough blade has the perfect design to lift and mix the dough, working it from its watery, flowery, and yeasty beginnings into a finished product.

Salsa
The super-sharp blades and 1400 Watts are no match for tomatoes, onions, garlic, and anything else you want in your salsa.
When making salsa, don’t use any of the Auto-iQ functions. Just use the pulse button to process your salsa until you get the consistency you want. For smooth salsa, use the timer and adjustable speed until the desired consistency is achieved.
The only hiccup is this: sometimes bits of onions and tomatoes get stuck in the corners of the pitcher.
This prevents them from being processed no matter how long you run the blender. In this case, you’ll need to open the top and use a utensil to dislodge the stuck item. Once dislodged, continued to process until it is complete.

Nut Butter
If there is one area that the system struggles with, it’s with nut butter. We used roasted cashews and peanuts to attempt cashew butter and peanut butter. The end results was, while tasty, it lacked the smoothness we hoped to achieve.
The tamper just wasn’t as effective as a mixing device for rendering the smooth, creamy butters we desired. If you like a crunchy nut butter, this won’t be a big deal for you.
We eventually got close to what we wanted. But it required us removing the cup, manually mixing the contents with a spoon, and processing again.

Using the Ninja Foodi Power Blender & Processor System
Using the device is quite simple. Each unit ships with a user manual but even if yours was lost or destroyed, it’s very intuitive to use.
Timer Display
At the top-left of the base, you’ll see an area where numbers are displayed. When using an Auto-iQ function, this area will show how many seconds are left before the program completes.
Auto-iQ Functions
Below the timer, will be the display where you can select one of the 6 walkaway functions. These are: Extract, Smoothie, Bowl, Spread, and Chop, and Dough.
Chop and Dough are only available when using the Pitcher. The Extract function is only available when the Nutri Ninja Cup is attached to the blender.
Speed Selection & Start/Stop
This part is very intuitive. Press the Start/Stop button to do just that. When using in manual mode, turn the knob clockwise to increase speed and counter-clockwise to dial back down the blending speed.
The Buttons
The iQ/Manual button switches the mode back and forth from Auto-iQ mode and Manual mode. Auto-iQ gives you the walkaway functions we’ve previously mentioned. Manual mode gives you exact control over the time and speed of which your items are blended or mixed.
