The Champion Classic 2000 Commercial Juicer formerly known as Champion G5-PG-710 is a heavy duty commercial grade masticating juice extractor. Combine its 650-watt one-third horsepower GE motor with tempered stainless steel cutting blades and the result is a powerful juicer that gets the job done. Not only does it juice your favorite produce, but it’s also highly versatile. Aside from juicing it can make nut butter, salsa, pureed foods, and delicious sorbets.
The parts of this juicer are entirely constructed of stainless steel and high-grade polymers. As a result, you’ll get an extremely sturdy and BPA free machine. It was made for serious juicers who intend to use it frequently and also for those who are planning to set up their own juice bar.
Another feature includes the added winding capacity, increasing its starting torque. Thus, allowing the motor to run at a cooler temperature. The cutter is covered up to one-year and the motor warranty does not extend beyond three years from the date of purchase. Instead of contacting the retailer, you will be required to contact Champion Juicer if your machine experiences any defects.
Commercial VS Household Juicer
Champion Commercial Juicer is quite similar to its sibling, the Champion Household Juicer. There’s basically no difference between the two except that the commercial model was made more powerful to withstand heavy usage. This comparison chart says it all.
[table id=88 /]
- This model comes in two colors, you can choose between black or white or whichever matches your kitchen
- Commercial grade juicer that can be used for business purposes without voiding the warranty
- BPA free parts made of food-grade nylon and surgical grade stainless steel
- Juice produced from masticating juicers last longer and higher in quality due to minimal oxidation
- Higher juice yield than centrifugal juicers
- It can juice wide varieties of produce
- Automatic pulp ejection for continuous juicing which can be helpful for preparing a detox plan
- Optional attachments for homogenizing and milling grains
- Can juice faster than standard slow juicers
- Parts are not dishwasher safe
- Mid-priced, definitely not on the cheap end
- Attachments are very expensive
- Not efficient in juicing leafy greens
- High RPM degrades the quality of the juice
- Super heavy, make sure to put it in a strongly reinforced counter space to avoid accidents
- For a masticating juicer, this is a bit noisy but not as loud as centrifugal juicers
- Requires a separate attachment for juicing wheatgrass
- Chopping your produce will take much of your time because of the narrow feeding chute
Champion Commercial Juicer Features & Product Details
Is it Easy to Use?
Much like other juice extractors, Champion juicers are relatively easy to assemble and operate. There’s just one consideration that you should remember. You must lubricate the motor shaft with olive or coconut oil to prevent the cutter from sticking on it. And by the way be careful when inserting the cutter, it’s very sharp.
This juicer requires continuous feeding, once you start, keep moving until you have finished juicing. It is not a self-feeder and you must press down on the items with the tamper. Never use your fingers to push items down the chute.
Also, as mentioned above, this electric juicer is very heavy. It is a good idea to place it in a permanent spot on the counter. There is no handle on top of this commercial juicer allowing for easy transport.
Is it Easy to Clean?
Clean the juicer as soon as you have finished using it. It is easy to clean, but the procedure is slightly different than most other juicers. Instead of using hot water, wash the parts in cold, soapy water. Food stains are normal when you juice items like carrots. However, if you are concerned with the food stains, use a small portion of bleach to remove them. Use a stiff brush (purchased separately) to clean the screens. Everything is submersible, except for the cutter. It is imperative to not allow water to enter the shaft hole of the cutter. If water accidentally enters the hole, then place it with the base facing down, so that it can dry out. Allow all of the parts to dry completely before reassembling the juicer.
This commercial juicer is not your standard slow juicer. In fact, it’s not a slow juicer at all. Its RPM is too high to be classified as such. At 1,725 RPM it’s comparable to a centrifugal juicer. I believe champion juicers belong to a whole new classification of juice extractors—high-speed masticating juicers.
With that said, juice extracted by this machine is lower in quality than real slow juicers.
What Kinds of Produce Can the Champion Commercial Juice Extractor Process?
This juice maker machine can process almost anything from soft fruits to hard veggies, leafy greens, wheatgrass (with a separate attachment), and some nuts and beans.
Hard produce includes asparagus, watermelon, broccoli, pepper, beets, cauliflower, bitter gourd, pear, cilantro, yakon, carrots, ginger, garlic, coconut, cucumber, fennel, pumpkin, celery, pineapple, sweet potato, turmeric and apple.
Soft produce such as kiwifruit, cranberries, mango, strawberry, papaya, grapes, peach, blackberry, pomegranate, melon, and avocado can be turned into a puree using the complimentary blank screen.
If it can process hard produce, citrus fruits such as tangerine, lime, lemon, orange, mandarin and grapefruit are no match for it.
Though it can process most of the leafy greens such as basil, parsley, beet greens, collard greens, kale, spinach, spring onion, dandelion greens, brussels sprout, cabbage, peppermint, and lettuce I’m going to warn you that this machine is not as efficient as other cold press juicers due to its high RPM.
Juicing wheatgrass and pine tree needles, on the other hand, require a separate greens attachment.
Las but not the least it can also help you make soy and almond milk as long as you soak it overnight prior to juicing.
With the right accessories this juicer can be turned into a grain mill, homogenizer and a stand-alone wheatgrass juicer, the bad news is you’ll have to buy these attachments separately.
The grain mill attachment allows you to make your own flour, corn meal, coffee at home. Equipped with razor-sharp blades it can pulverize soybeans, coffee beans, peppercorns, wheat, rye, oats, and barley into a fine or coarse grain (depending on your setting) with dust free efficiency.
Greens attachment complements the juicing power of Champion G5-PG-710 turning your machine into a full-pledged wheatgrass juicer. This juicer struggles on juicing green leafy vegetables because of its high RPM. With this attachment, I’m not sure if the efficiency will be the same with competing masticating juicers.
The homogenizer can help you prepare baby food, nut butter, creamed coconut and frozen treats such as ice cream or sorbets. The free blank screen will work but this attachment was specifically designed for homogenizing—that is if you’re planning to process huge amounts of nut butter and sherbets.

Champion 2000 Classic Commercial Juicer is a durable, professional-grade masticating juice extractor highly recommended for those who juice regularly and for those who want to make money from selling healthy and refreshing juices. The fact that its parts are made of BPA free plastic and stainless steel sounds like a good deal but knowing that it’s not efficient for processing leafy greens is quite a disappointment. Also, while this juicer is highly versatile and is capable of grinding and homogenizing, the attachments for it are sold separately. Keep this in mind before hitting the checkout button.
