I’ve known Oster as a reputable Blender manufacturer. I’m surprised that they did a great job in their juicing machine line up. The Oster JusSimple 2-Speed Extra-Wide Feed Chute Juice Extractor is one of those centrifugal electric juicers that can compete with Breville, minus the expensive price tag.
In comparison to Breville JE98XL, this product does exactly the same thing, plus it’s easier to clean and 10% cheaper. It can help you make fresh, healthy juices out of dense produce and citrus fruits.
Its filter basket design is unique, which raises its usability rating a notch higher. Most of the centrifugal juicers that I’ve reviewed comes with a traditional mesh design, like a common kitchen sieve. Its interlocking strands of metal is an easy place for pulp to get stuck, requiring more attention during the cleanup process.
Oster JusSimple’s Rinse n’ Ready Filter Basket removed that hassle by opting for a solid plastic strainer. It doesn’t have crevices, like a traditional one. You don’t even need to brush it after every use. All you need is a soft sponge and a quick rinse to get rid of the pulp and juice residue.

Is it easy to use?
This Oster Juicer works like any other centrifugal juice extractor. It’s quite easy to assemble, operate, and this particular model is surprisingly easier to clean. It will just take 7 steps for you to get started juicing. Once all the parts are locked in place you are good to go.

Yes, it is. Apart from being dishwasher safe, its blade-filter assembly was designed for easy maintenance. Instead of being fully stainless steel, its filter component is made of BPA free plastic. They named it Rinse n’ Ready Filter Basket.

Juice Quality
Juice extracted by high-speed juicing machines (like the Oster JusSimple 2-Speed Juice Extractor) retains its nutrient content for a shorter duration, all because of oxidation. The rapid spinning motion happening inside the juicing chamber incorporates a significant amount of oxygen into the juice. Thus, speeding up the oxidation process, or simply spoiling the juice faster.
If you want to take advantage of a juice’s maximum nutritional value from this type of juicing machine, drink it right away or at least within a 5-minute window. After 24 hours, it will lose all its nutrient content.
What kinds of produce can it juice?
The Oster JusSimple 2-Speed Juice Extractor will work best on dense produces and citrus fruits.
Fruits and vegetables such as fennel, watermelon, cauliflower, pepper, bitter gourd, cilantro, pear, carrots, ginger, pineapple, asparagus, pumpkin, sweet potato, turmeric, cucumber, yakon, celery, garlic, apple, beets, and broccoli can go well with this machine.
It can also take on your favorite citruses such as lime, lemons, oranges, mandarin, grapefruit, and tangerine.
Dual-speed centrifugal juicers are not ideal for juicing soft fruits and leafy greens. It won’t yield as much as slow juicers.
However, if you really want to make green juices with the Oster JusSimple, you can put the leafy greens in between fruits and vegetables with high water content such as apples, cucumber, carrots, etc.
