The Vitamix E310 Explorian Series (VM0197) is more like a refresh on the brand’s line of classic blenders. It’s fully compatible with Vitamix’s legacy containers.
If you have an old Classic C-Series or G-Series accessories, you’ll be able to use it with this machine.
Another reason to get the Explorian E310 is that it’s the cheapest blender with Vitamix’s quality seal.

On the downside, it doesn’t come with any smart features like the Vitamix Ascent, but it’s on par in terms of functionality.

The Vitamix VM0197 is a high-power blender that can do a lot.

Is it easy to use?
Compared to blenders with more than 10 buttons, this blender is definitely easy to use. With only two switches and a dial, it isn’t so complicated. Simplicity at its best, I’d say.
This Vitamix is most ideal for a couple or an individual for its smaller size. If you’re planning on using it for a considerable number of people, it may be a little frustrating.
You can blend a couple of batches, but that is going to be time-consuming.
If you’re going to use it for a bigger crowd, you have two choices:
- You can upgrade to a 64 oz (1.89 L) classic container (more expensive option); or
- Get its sibling, the Vitamix E320.
The Vitamix E320 is a bit more pricey than E310, but it comes with a more enormous container (and stronger motor) if that’s your type. In fact, you’ll save more than buying an extra 64 oz (1.89 L) container.
Moreover, the E310 won’t work with the low-profile version, and the 64 oz (1.89 L) classic is taller. So, there’s a chance it might not fit under your kitchen cabinet.
Now: the time for enjoying your meal should be a lot more than the cleanup, right?

This machine is effortless to clean. You don’t even have to disassemble it. Just fill it with warm water, add a drop of soap, run the machine for 30-60 seconds, and rinse.
